As a label, we believe in going where sound leads, and our search for the bleeding edge of electronic music has once again concluded in the stand-out percussive style bubbling up from the Buenos Aires underground.

‘Meltdown’ by Folgar & Chumbita completes our Argentinian trilogy—at least for now—with an offering of sophisticated, genre-meshing groove and synth work. With complex layers of scintillating lead themes, nuanced sound design, and a voguish sense of weightlessness, Folgar & Chumbita deliver an artfully stripped and eclectic six-tracker with remixes by James Harcourt and Vini Pistori for Kiosk ID no. 033.

‘Small Introspection’ thrives on its namesake micro-shifts and darkly churning synth contortions. An ominous framework of oppressive subs and percussive rustlings open up vast frequency bands for morphing layers of quivering synths and resonators to strobe across a thunderous substructure like bursts of blazing energy across a blackening sky.

A field of throbbing bass patterns, plucky synth themes, and revolving percussion lay the oscillating groundwork for ‘Meltdown.’ A dubby roller that artfully contrasts moments of calm serenity with high-octane theatrics, ‘Meltdown’ discharges a vast, pitch-bending orchestra of
cascading resonators and beautifully intertwining melodics.

Folgar’s solo contribution ‘Sauvé’ unleashes torrents of ethnically-charged percussion, laser-sharp electric sweeps, and salvos of polyrhythmic blips. Threading the needle between choppy, floor-focused monotony and wildly pitching impacts and overtones, ‘Sauvé’ is a
bottled-up storm of arcing energy framed by a powerfully stripped beat.

Anchored by a cavernous kick and a carpet of darkly morphing saws, Chumbita’s ‘The Walk’ conjures a grungy left-field dancefloor seance through a moody, spaced-out guitar theme, mystic vocal chops, and ghostly fields of pads and resonant plucks.

Vini Pistori’s approach electrifies the original with cascading white noise shakers, searing amps, and sizzling snare fills in a choppy and percussive rendition with overwhelming melodics.

James Harcourt transfigures the arcing saws on ‘Meltdown’ into a dystopian transmission of robotic synth salvos, hellish vocal effects, and an anthemic eruption of morphing, arp-crazed energy.

Despite its rhythmic complexity and meticulous sound design, ‘Meltdown’ succeeds in delivering a primal sense of pure dancefloor ecstasy, and it's this that makes Folgar & Chumbita’s vision so compelling: the Argentinian duo delivers a beautiful degree of sophistication without losing sight of their work’s raison d'être—creating powerful, floor-focused anthems that touch the mind and move the body.

Seth Schwarz teamed up with his funky fellow Be Svendsen, and together they created something that has the same UV index and the same amount of fresh air as a festival with perfect climatic conditions: During its epic 10 minutes of play time, their highly melodic track “Elves of Karoo” grows just as big and exciting as a full weekend on a dancefloor bathed in a generous amount of direct sunlight. Furthermore, Seth Schwarz adds the solo track “Quando Rando” that is slower but just as compelling and that reflects the classical composition skills of this producer in an intriguingly subliminal way. The amount of great producers who contribute remixes for this EP lives up to the idea of a perfect festival, as well – a festival for lovers of catchy yet sophisticated dance music, that is.

Seth Schwarz und Be Svendsen haben gemeinsam etwas geschaffen, dessen UV-Index und Frischluftgehalt einem Festival mit Bilderbuch-Bedingungen entspricht: Ihr hochgradig melodiöser Track “Elves of Karoo” ist in seinen epischen 10 Minuten Spielzeit mindestens genauso groß und ereignisreich wie ein Wochenende auf einer Tanzfläche unter freiem Himmel. Im Alleingang legt Seth Schwarz außerdem den etwas langsameren, aber genauso zugkräftigen Titel “Quando Rando” nach, in dem er seine klassischen Kompositionskünste mit zurückhaltender Eleganz einsetzt. Die Menge der hochkarätigen Künstler, welche für die Remixes an Bord geholt wurden, entspricht übrigens ebenfalls dem Bild eines Festivals mit Bilderbuch-Bedingungen für Freunde eingängiger und doch anspruchsvoller Tanzmusik.

Felix Eul is a DJ / producer from Nuremberg and a true music enthusiast. He's been making music since he was a child, learnt to play and improvise on various instruments and showed great talent from the very beginning. In his early 20s, he finally discovered his passion for electronic music and synthesizers and began to realize his musical vision.

With over a decade of stage experience, as a resident of various renowned clubs and events, as well as with numerous releases, he established himself as an important part of the techno scene in his home region. His innovative approach to electronic music has also made him play sets all over the world. The sound in his sets is consistently energetic and danceable, as are his productions, which always open up new perspectives while remaining true to his unmistakable style. His music has been released on top labels such as 3000Grad, Heinz Music, Hive Audio and SNOE. Thanks to his musical versatility, he tells a story in each of his sets, skillfully spanning the spectrum from tech house to melodic techno and techno without losing the common thread. He delights his audience with his sound at venues such as Ritter Butzke, Südpol Hamburg, 3000Grad Festival, Bahnwärter Thiel and Harry Klein, to name but a few. In his home town, he is resident DJ at the legendary club "Die Rakete".

In addition to his passion for music, Felix is also a trained piano maker and responsible for the  right tunig of the piano in concert halls. At the weekend, however, his heart remains behind the decks, where he captivates his audience time and again with his playful and driving sets.
