Leipzig, Germany-based imprint Vaertism marks its second release this December with its second various artists package, welcoming a coterie of producers from the collective surrounding the small club and project room called the Kulturlounge in their hometown. Pavlicu’s ‘Faith’ shifts things back to a low-slung, minimalistic aesthetic next via nuanced synth tones, hypnotic voices and stripped drums, crafting a tight and bouncy dancefloor tool.

We are back with our podcast series for number 30: 

This time with the Rhein-Main power duo PT and Marc. 

PT a connoisseur in everything smooth and subtle learned his craft in Gebäude 27, Planke Nord, 50 Grad in Mainz and Parker Lewis in Mannheim. 
He was also invited by Break the Wall to tour China alongside Alexis Cabrera @alexiscabrera in 2017 and 2019.

Marc grew up as a longtime underground aficionado on the dance floors of Robert Johnson, Dora Brilliant and Hoppetosse. He is now finding his passion in selecting crisp minimal sounds.

Marc and PT have only shared the decks recently in Berlin for the first time but found an instant connection through their love of the underground sound and one of their favourite clubs Robert Johnson in Frankfurt.

Face It (Dub Mix) - RBL008

Summer is slowly but surely coming to an end and the nights are getting longer again. What could be more fitting than an EP called Night Shades? Responsible for this is Berlin artist Jiggler, one half of former Bar 25 favourite Channel X. He has been causing a stir with his solo project for many years, including releases on Stil vor Talent and Katermukke. The first track, Night Shades, which shares its name with the EP, captivates with its driving groove and wonderfully dreamy yet uplifting lead synth. With the second original, Voyager, the journey through the night continues seamlessly, albeit in a more rousing and darker way. Jiggler is supported by a total of three artists with their own interpretations of the originals: Richard Elcox, the Scottish Berliner by choice, who was already playing around with his brother's Korg MS-20 at the age of 11 and the well-known Matija and Contenance here in Zurich. The former has been part of the local scene for over three decades, the latter is well on his way to emulating Matija.
