FelixHunger is the one of the hottest new bands out of the Philly Metro area. Their debut release, Weird Sounds, is expected to drop in the summer of 2011.

FelixHunger, fronted by singer-songwriter Sarah Jessica Czechowski, explores the interior landscape of hearts and souls – the cascade of disappointments and dreams that crowd a life. Subtle traces of Sarah MacLaughlin and Fiona Apple's influences linger in FelixHunger, as Czechowski's haunting vocals, backed by an accomplished 3-piece band, capture the yearnings submerged in all of us.

SARAH JESSICA CZECHOWSKI
A veteran of the New York music scene, Czechowski worked with famed Miami-based DJ Tracy Young, recording dance mixes of her songs under the name Missarah for Kunduru Music. Czechowski left Manhattan to return to South New Jersey, taking with her a spirit of collaboration that she uses with the guitarists who transcribe her songs. The result is a tight, powerful connection between the lyrics and music.

Onstage, Czechowski is a natural performer, alternating between her own compositions and covers of R&B, soul, and hiphop classics, engaging the audience and encouraging them to sing along. Venue owners in New Jersey, Delaware and Philadelphia consistently offer repeat bookings to FelixHunger. Their growing, active fan base succeeded in securing nominations for Best Local Band and Best New Artist on 93.7WSTW's 2010 Hometown Heroes Awards. Recognizing FelixHunger's appeal, Spark Magazine issued invitations to the band to perform in the 2010 Summer Concert Series and at a their 7th Anniversary party in 2011, one of the more prominent events on New Castle County, Delaware's social calendar.

Mick White is a member of Good Question (based in Delaware), and has played in a variety of bands in the tri-state area for decades.

Rich Derke and Clint Hoffman are members of The Future Unwritten, a highly acclaimed Americana/punk fusion band, also based in Delaware.
