Takeaway:  This beat I found a beautiful ambient sample online.  I simply added a lot of reverb to the melody but also to the snare and hi-hats.  I decided to add a few trap drum switch ups for a good break.  I also made sure the bass had an overpowering presence in the song with a kick drum that adds contrast.  This beat took 2 hours to complete.
