I've been a fan of Noisia for longer than I can remember, always looked up to them as musical gods :) When I first heard 'Get Deaded' last summer I immediately made the ugly face, and threw this edit together so I could play it in my sets - their original drop is super spastic and abstract and totally loco, but I wanted to just kind of steady the groove out a bit, and lock it into place as more of a straight down-the-plate banger.
When they said they wanted to release it, I was honored, but I think it should be called "version" more than "remix" - because I wasn't trying to change anything, I just wanted to tweak it a bit so it fit into my sets. Crushes crowds every time...

This four-track venture calls attention to ZEKE BEATS attention to detail, taking a formulaic approach to his intricate, experimental production skillset. ‘Devastate’ boasts a dramatic soundscape, featuring low-leveled basslines and high-pitched kicks that come together for a clean, contemporary edge. The EP kicks into high gear with the title track as the preface to the project. Priming listeners for a sonic journey, “Devastate” possesses a darker and harder electronic feel. Enlisting fellow Australian bass music maestro Blanke​, the progressive builds in “Chaos” accompany the striking grooves and blaring horn samples perfectly. The concluding track on the EP entitled “Hypnotize” emulates the more playful side of bass music, featuring Shaman​, with a rattling, lighthearted beat that showcases his technical talents from one end of the spectrum to the other.

The ‘Devastate’ EP will arrive in full force as ZEKE BEATS announces his forthcoming North American tour. Accompanying the ‘Devastate’ EP, the Australian DJ/producer’s North American Tour will span cities from Atlanta, Georgia to Seattle, Washington.

ZEKE BEATS & Shaman - Hypnotize

This is a ukulele cover album of Queens of the Stone Age's debut studio album, released in October 1998 by Loosegroove Records. It was primarily written and recorded by founding member Josh Homme and his former Kyuss bandmate Alfredo Hernández.

Queens of the Uke Age was recorded using only ukulele for guitars, a cashew tin for the drums, and a can of breadcrumbs for the shaker.
I've long considered this to be my favourite album of all time, so this is my way of saying thanks and paying tribute to this classic album.

I do not own any of the rights to this material and will not be profiting off of it in any way.
