The duo Karol XVII & MB Valence can certainly be ranked as Poland's greatest talents especially when speaking on Deep House in its truest sense. The two owners of the respected Loco Records label have been working hard recently in order to return with another round of deep house goodness on the label by means of a three tracker entitled " Subway Station". The new series is composed of absolutely genuine productions that reflect the artists' generous souls abundant in deep house grooves which will be easily recognized while taking a thorough listen to their new EP. Even though it has taken a while for the duo to return with a new release after their successful "Plastic Age EP", it has been worth waiting as their remarkable skills have only refined which can be noticed in these three stunning tunes included the EP: " Ain't Nobody", "Panic!", and "Obviousness". The entire release delivers awesome music at the highest production level, so it is a definite must in any box.

After eight years immersed in songwriting and production, Dani Siciliano is ready to return with her third solo LP "DANI SICILIANO". Dani’s music, and so gives a perfect teaser of what the full album has in store. Her voice soars in a multi-layered swirl of crafty production while the arrangement crackles with an energy that reflects the rousing message of the lyrics. It’s an urgent intonation of positivity that should motivate anyone to get up and move, but it communicates this idea in a most delightfully unusual of ways.
Rising Parisian house head Ben Vedren offers up a remix of the lead track, building on his refined releases for Minibar and Concrete Music amongst others. He brings a noticeably tough undercurrent to his version, using a driving bass-weighted drum set to carry artful slices of Dani’s vocals through a club-ready confection with carefully placed brushstrokes of warmth and melody.
Ben Vedren also turns his hand to the Acapella Remix, stripping the production of the original track right back and replacing it with a simple rhythmic guidance to leave ample space for the vocals to stand on their own. With nothing but a steady grooving kick and snare loop in the way, it’s a track crying out for the kind of creative mixing that music as unique as Dani’s is perfectly suited to.

Derrick May is one of our main headliners at Rejected's Amsterdam Dance Event 2012 night at Studio 80, 18th of october.
Since my early dj days, I consider Derrick May as a huge inspiration, and in particular this dj set. Broadcasted live in 1996 from the legendary Chemistry night at Escape, Amsterdam. It was recorded from midnight radio by my partner in crime Edwin Oosterwal who borrowed me the cassette tape which I never gave back to him, which reminds me I should do that sometime soon.

In this mix, Derrick May shows us that in 1996 dance wasn't pigeonholed to one style or sound. He mixes Moodymann's groovy deephouse with Jeff Mills and Surgeon's raw techno. He goes from Donna Summer's disco to Tyree Cooper's jacking electronic funk, from Masters of Work's new york house to Ian Pooley's epic chord techno. All of this is mixed in a fast and skillful pace, a style that so clearly carries Derrick's signature.

There's some truly magical moments in this mix, how he get's out of Surgeon's 'Syllable' into Global Communication's 'Sensorama' at 1:09 leaves me speechless..

Even though by now I know most of the record he plays here, there's still a few I've been looking since the very first time I heard this mix. Would be great to get the tracklist completed, any help is greatly appreciated!
