STORY (so im kinda messing with the Rapunzel lore here sorrynotsorry)

In our previous tale we met Rapunzel as she sat alone in her tower, gazing out into the starless sky. It had been six months since her heart had been shattered and Flynn Rider had sailed away after stealing her crown. So she turned to the only person she had left, her Mother. 

Rapunzel confided in her Mother, sharing her pain and grief, and Mother listened. But all was not as it seemed, where Rapunzel saw a loving Mother finally taking the time to hear her, what Gothel truly saw was an opportunity. Slowly, Gothel began to water the seeds of distrust and bitterness that Rapunzel had towards humanity until she had a hatred that rivalled her own. 

"The world is dark and selfish and cruel, If it finds even the slightest Ray of sunshine, it destroys it" And so, our Rapunzel began to fade day by day until she became completely unrecognisable.

She never did learn the truth. Flynn had not betrayed her. He had been framed by Mother Gothel and then swiftly captured and imprisoned, with no chance to explain himself. His execution was delayed again and again, as a rumour of a dangerous, potentially deadly, moonstone spread amongst the kingdom and all the guards were sent out to find it.  With most of the guards out searching Flynn finally managed to break free and began making his way to Rapunzel to finally explain exactly what happened and win back her trust.

But by the time he reached her, it was too late. 

In the months that Flynn had been gone Gothel had successfully stoked the bitterness in Rapunzels heart and created the perfect weapon. Rapunzel couldn’t have known that Gothel had been planning to take her revenge on the kingdom that had cast her out her. And when news arrived of the moonstone Gothel knew her next move. After months of searching at last she had found it - the dark, destructive counterpart to Rapunzel's sun-given gifts. Now, finally Gothel could send her transformed daughter into the world, armed with the ability to spread darkness and decay. The task was simple: destroy the kingdom, wipe out those who had ever threatened them, and secure their safety forever.

Rapunzel, twisted by heartbreak and manipulated by her mother, eagerly accepted and a chill descended on the kingdom for the storm that was coming …

STORY 

There once lived a young girl named Alice, who found herself in a strange and mysterious place called Wonderland. The world she had entered was dark and beautiful, full of magic and mystery. At first, she was mesmerised by what she saw, but there was a darkness in the air, a quiet chaos in the very ground, almost as if the land was living, breathing. 

Alice’s wonder slowly turned to a growing unease. She began to find herself doing and saying things the past Alice wouldn’t have dreamed of, as whispers in her ear tempted her towards a new version of herself, scrambling her thoughts. It was almost as if Wonderland itself was infecting her with its madness. One moment, she was the curious and polite girl from her village, and the next, she was a twisted reflection of herself. Her laughter became a cackle, her smile a smirk, and her once-bright eyes glinted with a sinister light. Desperate to get back home and return to her normal self, Alice frantically searched for a way out. But each step forward seemed to pull her deeper into the clutches of Wonderland’s madness.

In the depths of the woods, she met the Caterpillar, who eyed her with a knowing look.

“Who are you?” he asked.

“I... I don’t know anymore,” Alice replied, her voice a mixture of confusion and despair. “I need to find my way home.”

Alice’s desperation grew as she felt herself almost split in two, watching this darker version of herself slowly take over. If she could just find her way home before the Wonderland version of herself took full control, then the nightmare would finally be over. But Alice couldn’t have possibly known just how deep Wonderland’s roots were inside her. Sure, she could leave Wonderland, but Wonderland was never going to truly leave her ever again.

Hello everyone! This week I sang It’s Tough To Be A God from Road To El Dorado with the lovely Elise Lovelock!

I love this song and I had such a hard time believing that there were so few covers of it! I needed to change that. It took a bit of time (and more effort than I expected) but it was worth it! This cover knocks my socks off everytime I listen to it. I think it’s fair to say it has taken the top spot as my personal favorite.

Elsie is such a powerhouse!  She sings, she acts, and she was kind enough to agree to a duet with lil old me! In truth, I’ve been gassing myself up for years to approach her for a duet but I’m SO glad I finally did it. I could not have made such a kick-butt rendition without her lovely voice. Thank you so much for joining me! 

Another big thank you to Ryan as well! His instrumentals are always amazing and always make my life a million times easier (and he cranks them out super fast which is ?????? but very much appreciated because my work schedule is a disaster).
