"This EP is the result of years of identity research.

After more than 10 years of electronic music, I succeeded in this second EP to gather all the musical currents which inspired me and made vibrate all my life. My artistic approach is to create a fusion between the different musical genres that influence me, and especially, to give each of my tracks, a real identity. Percussion with Tribal sounds, a heaviness that we recognize Bass Music, rhythms shifted and dancing, this is what qualifies Leese.

This mixture is tasty, between the emotional, and the technical, I want at all costs to build original structures, varied and innovative, while traveling through all these currents, in the desire to make the listener feel.

I like this round aspect of this EP. Everything ties together, and is carefully handled. I don't know exactly what I'm trying to bring together, but I feel when I'm going in the right direction or not, each time I produce. It's a heavy and sub urge that takes to the trips, with these percussions that recall our primal instincts and speak directly to our body. The human reconnection that allows the addition of oriental voices, accompanied by melodic layers (with partimony).

I hope to touch the originality, I hope to create the astonishment, the surprise. The moment of creation can sometimes be very introspective, I do not count any more the hours or I tore off the hair of my head, to try to find my personal touch and what will make me vibrate myself in this process. Following their last  "Thirst Ep" released on Instrument of Discipline in 2019, the duo Diasiva (Monolog and Swarm Intelligence) returns with a five tracks work on the Berlin Imprint Arboretum.

While addressing the environmental issue of the human impact on natural ecosystems, Microplastic Ep seems to embark upon a journey of deconstruction of Techno, IDM and Bass Music towards futuristic paradigms. 


Here, gritty broken-beats, wisely mixed with titanic basslines, an ominous dystopic temper seems to simulate the contemporary unrelenting strain, fading at time either into kaleidoscopic-visionary synthlines archetypes or cinematic rarefied epilogues for a comforting utopia.

By now @SHALT's pretty much a @do-the-astral-plane legend, in our humble opinion. 

His early releases via the LA-founded label and platform, such as 2016's 'Acheron' or 'Inertia', set forth his musical mission statement (of sorts) as he unlocked new ways to manipulate sound design for a slew of club-centric environments. 

That's not to say he's a 'club-with-a-capital-c' producer who only caters to the rave, however. In fact, as evidenced on his 2018 full-length 'Seraphim' (an album debut for both him and the label) as well as on his forthcoming EP 'Ochre Flood', SHALT provides listeners with compelling music to glide through life to sans any club completely. Which is what we all want really, right? Soundtracks to our lives?

So be it functional, bass-heavy tunes built with scale, physicality and technological prowess (and totally destined for front left ravers) or earthier, textured and subdued genre-less tracks that appeal in those post-club contemplation moments, it's here at the meeting point between his concepts and interests that SHALT thrives. 'Ochre Flood', perhaps, the best example of this.

Premiere: SHALT 'Shudder'

Brooklyn-based DJ and producer, Ayesha is set to release her debut EP, 'Natural Phenomena' on local label Kindergarten Records (founded by Ma Sha) later this week. Tapping into her Indian heritage for the wide-scoping four-track release, evoking the country's lush environments and sounds. As she puts it, “this is cultural memory channeled into universal club format.”

In Ayesha’s words, Natural Phenomena is “an undulating love letter to nature and the dancefloor, [a] space where [her] biophilia collides with her yearning for the dancefloor."

The aptly-titled track 'The Club is a Sea' draws from aquatic soundscapes, leaving you feeling like you're immersed in soft waves, floating under the warm summer sun. Bringing it back to the club environment, the track is filled with driving percussions, polyrhythmic elements, and hypnotic, echoing vocals.
