The first FBM workshops have just started and we can already tell you our mentees will be bringing some serious energy to your local bass scene! And since we're speaking of energy... 

For the second installment of FBM's guest mixes, the Leipzig-based FLINTA* collective BLADE take over and remind us what a sweaty club night sounds like with a banger of a mix 🔥🥵 Get ready for 90 minutes of pure electro extravaganza 🦾, nasty breaks and pumping beats 👽 which will put you in a fiery weekend mood right away 🌪 ⚠️

* @blade-lpz was founded in 2020 when @bephaal and @l_eeza planned to host a party at Leipzigs' Institut für Zukunft, called BLADE. Due to corona it couldn't take place and lots of streams popped up. Also @bunny_tsukino showed her skills at some streams like the conne iso stream of Conne Island. Leeza spotted her and invited her for some aperol spritzes. We decided to found a new collective cause we didn’t find FLINTA*/queer artist playing our kind of style, enough represented in the rave scene of Leipzig. The name is a reference to the legendary Blade vampire movie and its grand opening club scene. Of course also a metaphor for razorsharp music and cutting edge genres. The rest is herstory.

Guest Mix 002: BLADE

We're back with our guest mixes and Best Boy Electric (re)opens the ball with some mesmerising electro serenades. 

The Hamburg-based selector, also part of the the queer feminist collective POSSY, delights us with some dreamy robotic groovers and keeps the energy up while providing touches of fine vocals, only embellishing their journey. The week has just started and this mix sets the tone: we will have a great one.

Guest Mix 003: Best Boy Electric

Guest Mix 004 is out 🌞 and we have the pleasure to receive a 60 minutes power mix from London based Chano. After starting their DJ journey at age 10, they became a monthly host for Lobster Theremin's Rinse FM show and played shows at Fabric or The Cause. Fasten your seatbelt because we're going on a 160 ride 🏎🎢: jungle, juke & footwork 👣 but also dipping into DnB lullabies and other UK sounding delicacies, we couldn't think of a better way to get through this week 🛀🧖‍♀️

FBM's guest mixes are back this time with Soyklō 🌿 Fresh to Berlin, the producer, DJ, singer and creative director born and raised in Paris came in and is implementing herself as a multi-genre DJ with this extremely rejuvenating mix ✨ A sweet invitation to her universe with Jersey Club, Jungle, Juke, Breaks and dirty basslines are to be expected in the next 40minutes and surely leaves us with the intention to shake it for the rest of the day 🍑 Enjoy!

Cork's Doubt closed out Banger Cliff on Saturday night showcasing the hard drum sound of the Flood imprint he co runs. Flecks of techno, bass and rave back themselves up againstmetallic percussion, spilling out gloriously onto the raptured dance floor.

It feels like a lifetime ago now: 25th Jan, we had no idea what 2020 had in store for us all; Cleyra was finishing off his set of elegant, tripped out and slinky rnb-meets-Techno upstairs; Mehtola had sealed the brick in the dungeon with an extra varnish of "tuff", punching holes in the air with mean, broken, bass wrecking sluggers; it was time for the French lads to step up.

The Fusion Mes Couilles residents delivered three hours of a fuckin mental hammering of everything "ball breaking": hardcore, acid, techno, ghetto tech, trap, jungle and everything inbetween. Mean and fringe burning; people were pulling themselves up the the stairs, out the dungeon, needing a break, having no idea what just hit 'em!

Here is the final 1.5h of what was a really special set. Needless to say, you can hear everyone present, well and truly got loose.
