Hi friends,

I’m very excited about our mix today - it comes from Catalina, a DJ hailing from Romania, now based in Brussels. 

Catalina’s propulsive, break heavy and future-focused mixes are an enormously good time. She has a modern digger’s ear for unearthing some of the tastiest club workouts, and remains unafraid of allowing otherworldly sonics to enter from stage left. 

Catalina honed her craft in London, holding court in clubs like XOYO, Corsica Studios and Printworks, as well as community stations Balamii and the late 199radio. Now back in Brussels, she continues her contribution to the vibrant local scene, mixing for Kiosk Radio, the Word, and collectives Club Dramatik, Queer Future, C12 and nacht. In addition to her mixes, Catalina has begun making tracks of her own, the first of which will appear on a Greenpeace x DJs for Climate Action compilation out later this summer. 

Bliss Point is very glad to welcome Catalina to the series with 82 minutes of the DJ and budding producer in top form.

Quite new to the city, didn’t make many friends yet. 

Pretty overwhelmed with the inevitable rough side of social life that Berlin can serve you daily.

and there he was

building, working, playing, jumping, dancing…

and for sure smiling

I just left Gibraltar after being there for 2 hours, trying to get a peek at the African continent, but didn’t see more than a clean fade from sky to ocean. 

It was a cold, grey and rainy day. 
A couple of messages, a shared location and an hour later I found myself relaxing at the sunny beach of Tarifa

and there he was

walking down the hill, not only balancing two drinks but also this huge comforting smile in his face. 

Wherever I go, however I feel - when @lai-raw is in the house, bad vibes got no single chance anymore. 

Topping off my Fusion experience as his gig was the last set before the bus was getting me back to Berlin, entering the stage

and there he was

jumping, dancing, pumping and grabbing the mic to spread it all he got, singing his own song

almost losing the balance

but never the smile!

Never losing this genuine, good, positive energy to share with his surrounding and especially his beloved ones.

Femmme Fraiche is a debaucherous, frolickingly-fun, forward-thinking clubnight, who's aim is to bring cutting-edge house and techno to a queer girl crowd. Hosting a plethora of fabulously talented international female / female identified artists; from Honey Dijon, Lauren Flax, Alinka, DJ Paulette + more alongside our residents, Michelle Manetti, Sandra Le, Linzi Symons and Darren Skene. 

Our home at East London's Dalston Superstore, offers two floors of twin-galore, no-holds-barred unadulterated (fun) - with trash-pop and guilty pleasures upstairs for those who like to lip-sync to Madonna, Twerk to Destiny's child, slut drop to S.I.A and jam to Le Tigre, while downstairs is for the clubheads who like to get sweaty in the basement to dirty, jackin' Acid, House and Techno. 

Each of our parties, we will be screening the works of selected up-and-coming female artists as well as running a DJ competition, to offer the chance for budding new DJ's to spin the opening set and showcase their skills. And for any wannabe DJ's who are itching to have a go on some decks, but never had the opportunity, we offer a DJ master class to come and learn some basic skills. We also encourage and support female artists of all disciplines, if you'd like to get involved, send us an e-mail with your skills. 

NO BULLSHIT, JUST DANCING
We operate a strict safe-space door policy, discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated, leave your bullshit outside!! Anyone is welcome at our party, as long as they respect our safe-space policy, although we encourage men to be accompanied by female guests.
