There is a certain light, that comes with the first snow. Subduing and dimming the sun, it makes the things closer to you stand out with a poignant clarity. In that whiteness, colors find a new context, almost a new meaning. There is also a certain sound, or rather a quality of sound, that envelopes the crow’s song as well as the car speeding in the invisible distance, placing them next to each other, while keeping them forever apart.
Have you ever listened to the snow falling from heavy, flocculent clouds? It’s a soft, incessant tingling at the edge of your hearing, that plays atop your crunching footsteps and the occasional brittle twig breaking underfoot. Now, if you take off your mittens and extend your palm to face the cloudy sky - can you feel the tiny crystals from the heavens turn to water where the world ends and you seem to begin? And if raise your gaze from this miraculous, pinkish-beige transformer, do you see that glow coming through the trees, promising softness and warmth and a place to calm down and cuddle up?

Kamiwaza was simply mind blowing this year! There was such a vibe it was just incredible and for that I am so grateful to have been part of it!

Kamiwaza is one of my favorite festivals for many reasons. I love how intimate it is. I love that we are on family grounds and thank you Lucie and Nico for opening your sacred space to us all. I love that it’s in France but very international. It creates a radical difference I can tell you! I love the quality of the scenography Aurelia & Rodrigo are putting together. I love the high quality music you can listen to, how safe it is to leave your stuff on the dance floor, how kind the people are, and how fun it is. I really appreciate also this year that there were more workshops and performances, although I spent most of my time dancing my ass off! Congrats on the curation Maria Luisa & Larissa. 

A magical bubble of love in which I could imprint so many beautiful memories with my old friends and new partners in crime!

I feel so honored and grateful for being on the line-up next to so many talented artists! I'm really happy to publish my set on at the Home Stage played Friday from 6pm to 8pm!

Thank you Nico, Jb and Nico for your trust, Lucie and my close friends for your endless support and everyone else who was there during my set, dancing and smiling!

Wie lange legst du schon auf?
Das erste Mal gemixt habe ich 2022!

Wie war dein Weg bisher? 
Musik war schon immer ’n Ding, Playlists erstellen ist meine absolute love language, und wenn die Musik nicht läuft mache ich sie an. Irgendwann hat mich mal jemand gefragt: Warum mixt du eigentlich nicht? Und ja, valide Frage, was sollte ich sagen, warum eigentlich nicht?? Also habe ich mir einen Controller geliehen, Videos auf Youtube geschaut, euren Workshop besucht, und geübt. Es folgten viele Wohnzimmer- und Gartenparties, zu denen ich dann statt Spotify nun diesen Controller mitgeschleppt habe, hahaha - und meinen ersten richtigen Gig hatte ich dann im März 2024 im Klunkerkranich. Könnt ihr euch nicht ausdenken, wie aufgeregt ich war, uiui.

Was ist dir an einem Safespace wichtig?
Die Freiheit und der Frieden, zu sein wie du bist. Begegnung auf Augenhöhe.

In unserem kleinen Q&A gibt sie einen Einblick in ihren Schaffensprozess, stellt ihren aktuellen Ohrwurm vor und wünscht sich was für ihre Stadt:

✨Was waren deine Gedanken bei der Erstellung des Sets & was möchtest du damit vermitteln?
So kitschig das auch klingt, ich versuche immer eine Geschichte zu erzählen und die Zuhörenden mit auf eine Reise zu nehmen, mal langsamer und gefühlvoller – mal schneller und basslastiger aber immer treibend

✨Welcher Track läuft bei dir gerade hoch und runter?
Hab tatsächlich seit Tagen einen Ohrwurm von „Traffic Beats“ -Taketak (Roze Remix) und ein kürzlich entdeckter nicht elektronischer Banger wär „Come into my life“ von Joyce Sims.

✨Was wünscht du dir für die Musikszene in deiner Stadt?
Mit dem Ende des Zukunfthofs ist meiner Meinung nach ein wichtiger Teil der Szene weggefallen und so einen Space würde ich mir wieder wünschen, ansonsten im Sommer mehr schöne Open Airs!!
