Super Vatos - Chinkultic (Comegatos Remix)

Home of respected artists, such as Johannes Klingebiel (SXDNS207), Donald Dust, and Vanity Project, the interesting London-based imprint Claptrap opens its doors now for the debut release of DJ Goodboy, a young and promising German selector, producer and multi-instrumentalist who showcases his production capabilities via three well-constructed originals on his “KOKO NI KITE” EP. On the remix duty, a spot-on interpretation made with love by aforementioned Vanity Project, the label boss himself, by the way.

With previous appearances on Zone Focus, Paradiso, Eclectics, and of course Claptrap, VP brought the original to his turf, opened his toolbox of references, and came up with a more House-ish take for GB’s wobbly “Texas Queen”. Acid lines, vocal hooks, percussive elements, and trippy FXs were craftily assembled to bring to life a lively and vibrant version of an already solid cut.

After such a nice first release, we’ll be looking forward to checking the future endeavours of mischievous and misbehaved DJ Goodboy.

'Through The Light', the title track and the newest album from Cycloid Dyaxis covering a variety of styles while staying all together very coherent, from high energy to deep and moody, from strictly rhythmic to spacy and trancy. We like to point out two fantastic tracks from this sublime album; 'They Live, We Sleep', a hypnotic deep sounding track, perfect for any venue. 'Arctic Phase' is quit the opposite, a shorter heavy sounding track with a kind of aggressive taste to it, this would stand out in any contemporary Electro set! This album is perfect for a immersive drive through a journey of the finest electronic music, as usual Cycloid Dyaxis is ahead of his time, Fenixfire is always ahead! Here We Are sets the tone. Melodic synths, metronomic kick-drum and a bass-heavy pulse fires the listener into orbit. With its effortlessly flowing and progressive build, the track wraps us in warming atmospherics as we embark on the voyage.
Moviment delivers a delicate touch, with cascading harmonies and an irresistible hook garnishing a bassline that simmers away beneath the beauty.
