Banshee!! We welcome Madrid's finest Silicodisco to our podcast. Paco Buggin is a true veteran of the scene, and under his Silicidisco alias he released incredible music on some of our favorite labels such as Oberwave, Espacio Cielo and Roam Recordings. Created by Poulper (SXDNS146) & Aurum Miles, two of the most active artists amid the so-called Dark Disco/Indie Dance scene, the Argentinian/Lithuanian label Quixotical Records brings to life the “Pilots Lounge” EP by U.S.-based producer Nickelson, another hidden talent scouted by the lads’ proper curation skills. Featuring two clever originals and two remixes made with love by none other than Ed Mahon (SXDNS068/TBT001) and Berny, the EP keeps raising the bar of the busy year the imprint has been having so far.

The track we selected to review/premiere brings the seasoned “In Dark We Trust” series’ boss, Berny, boldly ripping off the dark and industrial aura of the 103-BPM original and delivering a cosmic-infused and upbeat 120-BPM “Mellowtron Mix”, whose positivity contrasts with the acid and misty atmosphere of the previous tracks and closes the EP with a lively and joyful message.

Melomana returns with its 33rd reference. And it does so with the flavour of a national artist...

Jesus Pastor is a clear example of the quality we have on the iberian territory. Like many other producers, he stands out for his originality and class. Pastor or as he now likes to be called after a modification of his stage name, Pastor In Vegas, debuts on Melomana with a new work of 3 originals plus 2 remixes titled 'Data77'. Remixes by the bosses of Melomana, Gameboyz and the Mexican trio Roswell Brothers, who add their special touch of electric guitars and solos from hell.
The Good Rapaza is the original that kicks off the EP. A combination of rogue elements that are usually accompanied by slow and powerful rhythms, punchy, electro synths and a suggestive vocal. The second track, Choco & Mery starts with a penetrating arpeggio and continues with fresh beats made for dancing. Sweet trance bass touches, succulent vocals and Italian disco pressure are the main features of this second cut. The third track entitled Discoteca Inferno is featuring by Carrier Palmer and it relaxes a bit what is coming with more deep basses and its corresponding variations, a sign of identity of Pastor In Vegas.
The first of the remixes bears the name of the peculiar duo Gameboyz, who performs an electro version with big beaks in the purest UK style of bands like Bicep...to complete this new release, the second remix comes from the Mexican trio Roswell Brothers. This band, which has been making a name for itself step by step for its "rocker" style, delights us with a version of Good Rapaza full of guitars and original solos from the group that give the track a more garage version of the same.

Nuit Decadente is bringing oldschool electronic music back to live. Therefore we love what they do and are pleased that they join our label. There second EP on the label is a cover of Enjoy The Silence. This masterpeace is probably the best known track of the Legendary and still active Depeche Mode. Not an easy task to direct the song toward the peculiar sound of Nuit Decadente. First track on the EP is even more special. A jazzy approach with classical instruments and a rock voiced singer, Klaas. Some electro-minded and dark disco sounding remixes are also included. Another cherry on the cake is the re-interpretation by the Gameboyz and Dominic Silvani who delivers an angelic version. This is great stuff. This release is exclusive available on Soundcloud, Bandcamp and several streaming services.
