This original song was on my 1st ever CD that I produced entitled:
“So You Thought I Was Just Clownin’ Around..Huh!”
The idea was to let folks know that I was capable of playing some “serious music”! other than just blues, rock or funk. *And the fact that everyone seem to think that “The Fabulous Feno” (the world’s only talking mime) was “just a clown”. Though a very talented performer, they didn’t know that music was/is my “forte” and 1st Love!
I am playing on all of the tracks on the entire CD.
I will also upload other songs featured on this CD.

Just Thinkin' 'Bout Cha

Years ago I had a band called "Fantasia" in Chicago.
I was honored to have musicians like Ruben Alvarez, Herb Walker, Steve Eisen, Ron Hall, Shay Jones and Melody Magnuson and others who came to jam with us from time to time such as Ito Castro featured on bass on this tune. Here is a Chick Corea song which will give ya’ an idea of my skills on the Baby Grand piano.

*This arrangement of this "classic" song was my 1st ever recording session playing the harmonica. The album entitled "B & G Rhythm" was recorded at Polydor Records in Los Angeles, CA and produced by Wayne Henderson of the jazz group, The Crusaders.
I am very proud to say that I did an excellent job on this track which spear-headed by career at the time as "talented musician"!
I must admit that it is one hellava harmonica solo!

Funny thing about this song. I wrote the lyrics years ago for a beautiful woman I had fallen in love with and wanted marry her. But her father refused the marriage because of “cultural and ethnic differences”!
It was many years later that I came up with this music.
On this song, I’m playing everything except for the bass. Thanks to my dear friend, Shay Jones on background vocals.

Where Will We Go

This was my 1st produced CD. Contrary to the surprise of many and what many people thought, I decided to write songs that were "out of the ordinary"! Instead of funk, jazz, blues or rock, I wrote songs that were of a different kind of genre partly because during this period I had been commissioned to write soundtrack music for film and TV. Some of the tunes are Jazzy, some are "new age" or "world". All the same, I proud of this musical endeavor of originals! So there! ':O0

Smakin' Latin

I was commissioned to do some of the soundtrack music for a National Geographic documentary for PBS. In East Africa, the blue wildebeests is the most abundant big game species. Thousands of wildebeest perform an annual migration and travel for hundreds of kilometers. This music is played as a helicopter pans across the plains as you see the wildebeests during one of the “runs” during this migration.

"Like Dis, Like Dat"(Cm)

What Is Cool was written at a time when the anti-drugs campaign had just started in America. And rap was becoming a popular music amongst the youth. Then known as "The Fabulous Feno", I wanted add something more "significant" to my act other that just "doing tricks"! I wanted to present something "special"  that would "make a difference" in the lives of kids. So my friend, Gary C and I sat down to write this rap song. The result brought me national recognition. I was featured on "Ebony/Jet Showcase" and I 
appeared on the NBC nationally televised special "Rock Against Drugs with Stevie Wonder, Huey Lewis and Phil Collins. Later I was commissioned to write other positive music for other TV shows. I eventually performed the rap song at over 150 schools in Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and in the Midwest areas. I am very proud of this song and how it did change the lives of so many kids who have come to me to thank me after graduating college and doing productive and positive things in their lives.
ps: It was because of this song that I then became "the world's only talking mime"! ':O)

What Is Cool

“Feno’s Theme” was my 1st ever song I recorded and produced in the studio. It was the song that I played live at every “Fabulous Feno” performance and was used as the theme song for my 1st promotional video. Thanks to Stevie &  Robin Robinson for their excellent background vocals. And to the internationally renowned Howard Levy for his outstanding rendition on harmonica. I played a small Casio MT-40 (which I used at each show) and the Yamaha DX 7 keyboards. I’m very proud of this “first effort” recording project. *It has always been my contention to write music for kids that doesn’t sound so “kiddy”! Just “real” music with soul! ‘:O)


Feno's Theme

Funny thing, I had initially written this song as a sarcastic commentary about people in general.
I was years later when I got with my friend, Derrick Procell (a very talented vocalist/songwriter/musician) to record this song. Also I thought it would add to the “anti drug” message in addition to other positive message aimed at the youth. Derrick is the main vocalist and also plays harmonica on the tracks. I’m playing the drums and the other instruments. I think it’s a cool message and a nice jam for kids! So there! ‘:O)

I Don't Like You

his was just a “fun” song that I used with my Children’s show. They would join in by singing:
“Doo Whoop! Doo Whoop Ditty”. I must say the recorded version is a little faster that what was performed live. Many thanks to Brotha Steve Eisen who doubled on congas and some excellent saxophone jamming! This funky little tune is one of the seven on the “What Is Cool” CD.

At the time when I recorded this tune, I had been co-writing & producing some tunes with my late homee, Paris Holly in his studio. He has been doing some sampling with some fun ideas so I thought I’d do something kindah funky too. So with a little James Brown and the 3 Stooges sampling, this is what I came up with that session and decided to include in the “What Is Cool” CD.
One thang fo’ sho’…it’s funky! ‘:O)

recording session done of his poems. When composing the music for the first session which consisted of five poems we decided to have the music be more traditional Pakistan style of music. You Are The Life

Well I guess you could say that as an "artist" it is "hard to describe, but easy to recognize". I am a multi-faceted performer, artist and musician. Best known as an "entertainer extraodinaire"! Therefore, my music reflects the diversity of my talents.
Musically, I write ALL genres of music. From doing soundtrack music for film and TV to performing live at a plethora of venues...I proud myself in the ability to 
write and perform ALL KINDS OF MUSIC.
Also performing as "The Fabulous Feno", "the world's only talking mime', gave me the opportunity to extend my musical abilities. My mantra (credo) is very simple: "There's music. Then there's good music!" So there! ':O)
