INTERVIEW

1. What makes dance music so special to you?
“You can easily connect with people from everywhere around the world. We always meet amazing people which we stay in contact with after.”

2. How did you learn producing?
Inigo: “Back in the year 2005 I used to live in Ireland. One of my good friends there knew a bit about Fruity Loops. So from there it all began and after some years I moved to Ableton where I felt much more comfortable.”
Dani: “All I have learned in all my life about music was between friends. I started in 2002 with Cubase and Logic and after a couple of years and some months in the SAE institute I definitely moved to Ableton Live until now. I like to experiment by myself, so for me this is the best weapon I ever met to do it.”

“Ableton Live 9”

4. Dream collab?
“Adriatique, but we also love the sound of electronic bands a lot, like Moderat and HVOB.”

5. Most exciting club moment?
“There have been so many magic moments and dreams achieved. It’s impossible to name just one, but last year we had a great moment at the Grand Factory Beirut, this club is one of the best around, amazing team, crowd, venue and soundsystem.”

6. Where would you love to play live?
“So many places. Especially Argentina for the famous vibes and Tokio for the experience.”

7. Favorite DJ Setup?
“3 CDJ Pioneer 2000 Nexus, DJM 900”

8. Favorite track at the moment/all time?
“While answering this we are listening to the new album of WhoMadeWho ‘Through The Walls’ which is amazing. From the latest releases that we play we love ‘Monolink - Sirens (Patrice Baumel Remix)’ and for all time is difficult to choose - we love so much music.”

9. What keeps you going?
“Probably the passion we have for the music. There are some moments when things are not as easy as they might seem on social media, but then you just stop for a moment and think, we have the best job in the world.”

10. What makes you laugh?
“Animals in general are always a good reason to smile. We think it is not possible not to smile when a dog approaches you or a cat comes nearby to be cuddled. Our friends in general are very funny, too. Whenever we are out of the studio and we all meet are for sure good times.”

11. What do you listen to besides electronic music?
“We like to listen to a lot of electronic bands of different styles and to music from the 80s, jazzy, disco, rock stuff. Important is that it has to be old.”

12. You in 10 years?
“We hope to continue doing what we love the most, which is making music and traveling around the globe. Still having around us all the people we love and care for and hope of course that the new label that we are now working on, Barbershop Music, which will see the light early this year will have a long career where we are able to showcase the sounds we like over the years.”

13. What distinguishes you and your music from other artists?
“We wouldn't know how to answer this, guess this is something that the people that listen to our tunes should say. We just make whatever we feel in the exact moment that we are in the studio.”

14. How would you describe your sound?
“Emotional, melodic, dark, deep, groovy”

15. Who will considerably give direction to the scene soon?
“No idea about directions - we just continue making what we feel sounds fresh. Good music is non temporal. It is just good music.”

16. What do you think about DIT KLINGT JUT?
“You guys have a lot of passion mixed with a professional way of working - key for success.”

17. What is your trademark?
“Barberhop Music, now our goal and most of our energy is finalising the last details to go live with it and show you all our musical tastes along our friends and partners Aaryon, David Granha, Wael and Novakk.”

“‘Olivier Giacomotto - Bipolar (Animal Picnic & Aaryon Remix)’ on Noir Music.”

Fenrir is influenced by the music from Artbat, Dmitry Molosh, Beyhude, Fabri Lopez, Guy J ,Monolink and more. When he was younger, John Digweed & Sasha had a big influence.

About 10 years old, he always wanted to hear the "strange sounds" in music. The strange sound was the synths. He started listening to Fleetwood Mac, ELO, Kraftwerk in his young age. The the 80`s came and synths were all over the music.
