"Orphanage EP" is more than just a musical offering, it’s a sonic diary chronicling Probel's journey through self-doubt and acceptance as a conduit for art. Each track meticulously crafted within the EP reflects the universal experiences of creators grappling with their artistic identity and the intangible connection to their audience

Drawing inspiration from the concept of "the death of the author," Probel extends this theory to the very essence of music itself. The EP posits that once a piece is completed and released into the world, it becomes an "orphan"—a creation detached from its maker. In this compelling narrative, music platforms are reimagined as digital orphanages, temporary homes for these sonic entities awaiting adoption

"Orphanage EP is my attempt to trace the path of music, from a faceless file on a desktop to the listener's heart," states Probel. "These four tracks became a diary of my doubts and self-acceptance as a conduit, reflecting the experiences of everyone connected to art. I believe it is the listener who can truly shelter our ideas, offering their heart as a true home."

The intricate soundscapes of Future Garage, characterized by its atmospheric textures, syncopated rhythms, and emotive melodies, provide the perfect backdrop for Probel's profound musings. "Orphanage" promises to be an immersive experience, inviting listeners not just to consume music, but to engage with its very existence and purpose

EA Review: Fiend - Afterlife EP (Ft. Mystic State)

For the final song on CKRA012, Fiend collaborates with the minds behind The Chikara Project to reveal the emotional garage-esque banger, “Goodnight, Yellow.” Both artists’ talents shine through in this masterful production that is nothing short of mesmerizing. Together, Fiend and Mystic State paint a beautiful soundscape that leaves the listener swimming in bass as crystalline drums pierce through the clouds of reverb like icebergs in the fog of night. The track title becomes apparent via the meticulous sample selection. The quotes provoke profound feelings of nostalgia which are then washed over by cleansing waves of sub frequencies and euphoric synth chords. “Goodnight, Yellow” serves as a proper final farewell for the EP while establishing itself as a tune whose replay value will undoubtedly be capitalized on by fans of the release for ages to come.
