After the release of Amansara, the third LP from Argentinian neo-folklore producer and one of the leaders of the new Latin electronic sound, Chancha Via Circuito returns with Amansara Remixed, featuring brand new and inventive re-imaginings of the tracks from the albums artists hand selected by Chancha from Latin America and beyond. Artists include Frikstailers, Thornato, Tremor, Maga Bo, King Coya, Psilosamples, El Búho, El Remolón Nicola Cruz, Rafael Aragon, Blocktreat, Prisma, Reptilian Commander, Barrio Lindo, Sidirum and Chancha himself, under his previous alias "Universildo".  The result of this selection is a powerful and experimental album where the unique sounds of Chancha dare to travel to new latitudes, catalyzed by the wide ranging vision of the remixers.

The album also features the special participation of Acampante, an Argentiniam multifaceted artist, who was encouraged to remix the original artwork ( Paula Duró's "Madadayo" ) in a fresh and fun way.

Solid Steel in association with Serato (17th July) Funkstorung return to Solid Steel this week, having been guests back in 2001 (you can hear that mix in the 'Featured' section at SolidSteel.net ). After releases on Studio K7, Compost and Chocolate Industries and remixes for Bjork, Wu Tang and Jean Michel Jarre, they took a break for 10 years. Now they are back and their latest self titled album is out now on Monkeytown. A remixes EP follows in August that features a remix by Mouse on Mars that's included in their mix. They had this to say;
"This mix has everything Funkstörung is about.  Poppy vocals vs. weird beats, nice melodies vs complex sounds… all in a funky suit.
To us the mix feels like a journey… it's stuff from the past, yet unreleased tracks and 'classics' (in our eyes).
It has been a big honour to do another Solid Steel Mix… over 10 years after we did the last one.  It definitely feels really good to be back."
