Egbert Van Der Gugten is one of the most promising talents. Jeroen Verheji alias Secret Cinema invited him on the spur of the moment to his parties and thus smoothed the way for Egbert to the Dutch Techno scene. Since then, Egbert has been a regular guest at Time Warp NL editions including a legendary closing set on the main floor in 2012!

This year we get to have an exclusive sneak peak even before Time Warp NL even started: Egbert's set consists of lots of unreleased tracks. You heard it here first!

This native Italian & Berlin based duo needs no introduction. Mind Against started in 2011 and barely 3 years later they are on the crown jewels of the Life and Death label after showing their incredible studio skill. In 2012 and 2013 they also composed several remixes for, amongst others, WhoMadeWho, Art Department, Róisín Murphy, Green Velvet on labels such as Kompakt, Cocoon Recordings, and Vakant.

Mind Against’ sound is very difficult to describe, but we dare to say that the mixture between house and techno appears to sound very deep, trippy and provocative. When they play it’s a sure thing that one can lose themselves in the music and travel to distant universes while dancing.

As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

No matter the time or place, there is something here for everyone and we are truly fulfilled and honored to present this package of cutting edge artists to celebrate this landmark moment. We know you will enjoy!

Secret Cinema’s label Gem Records returns with a main stage techno release by Ferdinand Dreyssig aimed straight for the dancefloor. 

Ferdinand Dreyssig is a skilled producer with many great releases under his belt such as his latest ‘Point Noir’ EP on My Favourite Freaks. But he is also a renowned engineer, mixing and mastering for many projects and labels. This talent shines through on his three-tracker for Gem Records. 

The EP kicks off with Shades Of Prey which has been hyping up crowds wherever it was played during its testing phase by label boss Secret Cinema. It does what a truly great dancefloor track should do: transport body and mind to a higher realm with it’s hypnotizing melody and driving groove. Black Snake and Adamin both deliver a powerful, exciting atmosphere and lots of energy wrapping this up to be a strong release with 3 A-sides.

Ferdinand Dreyssig follows up SUDO’s amazing ‘Seventh EP’ released early July. Next up from the Dutch label is a special release to celebrate 10 years of Egbert accompanied by a short documentary. One of the biggest artists to be put forward by Gem revisits two of his best releases on the label: Straktrekken and Haasten. Stay tuned…

Natürlich könnten wir hier schreiben, wie krass der Berliner "The Reason Y" unsere Meinung nach ist, wie viel Tracks er schon auf den fettesten Labels released hat oder in welchen traumhaften Kulissen er schon aufgelegen durfte.

Aber bei Uns läuft das wie Ihr wisst ein bisschen anders!
Wir erzählen Euch lieber eine Geschichte...


Es war einmal... vor mittlerweile über einem Jahr... in der deutschen Techno-Haupstadt...
Damals... als die Clubs noch in Betrieb waren und man Geburstage noch feiern durfte...
Die Spree war ganz ruhig und die Nacht war noch so jung...
Wir hatten keine Ahnung was Uns erwartet und halten uns bis heute noch an dieser Erinnerung fest...
Nicht ein Foto wurde gemacht, von niemanden von uns...

Wir durften nicht nur ganz nah mit dabei sein, sondern wurden regelrecht von einem
Meister der DJ-Handwerkskunst ausgeklinkt...


6 Stunden lang, hat es Fred geschafft uns mit seinem Sound auf den Dancefloor zu pinnen.
Es war gerade zu magisch, alle Sorgen waren wie weggezaubert...
Völlig heiser, durchgeschwitzt, überwältigt und mit einem ordentlichen Muskelkater haben wir den Club irgendwann in den frühen Morgenstunden verlassen...
Vielleicht wars auch schon mittags, wer weiß das schon so genau...

Was bleibt ist eines unserer absoluten Rave-Highlights,
eine unbeschreibliche Nacht, in der man den Spirit gerade zu anfassen konnte...



Wir sind dankbar, dass wir einen unserer Lieblings-Künstler eine Stunde für Euch einfangen konnten!
The Reason Y hat speziell dafür seine alte Liebe zum Drum ´N` Bass erneut erblühen lassen und liefert uns
ein 170 BPM-Set der Superlative!
Was dabei raus kam, ist in unseren Augen ein Meisterwerk!

This producer and Dj is one of those artists who cannot be pinned down to one genre or style. He is focusing on vocal driven, beat oriented Techno and Techhouse music. You can hear that a man is at work who knows his gear well. Ferdinand's musicality is clearly apparent and through his releases on Katermukke, Clap Your Hand, Keno Records and Resopal Schallware amoung many others, he has demonstrated his mastery of electronic music but kept his trademark respect for space and depth and arrangements through fine attention to production details. He recently built and upgradet his studio, being directly underneath his appartment, and also mixes and masters different projects for labels, Djs and friends. Ferdinand is working on several new tracks which will be released on various labels during the coming year and there is lots of new and already finished stuff to come on labels such as Get Physical - so stay tuned.

Ferdinand Dreyssig - Dieser Produzent und Dj ist einer der Künstler, die auf kein bestimmtes Genre reduziert werden können. Eingespielt auf von Vocals angetriebener, beatorientierter Techhouse und Techno Musik erkennt man bei jedem seiner Sets und Produktionen dass hier jemand am Werk ist, der Wert auf Details legt und sein Equipment zu nutzen weiß. Durch seine inzwischen zahlreichen Releases auf Get Physical, Katermukke, Clap Your Hands, Resopal Schallware und vielen mehr, hat er sein können in Sachen elektronischer Musik demonstriert und behält sein Markenzeichen an Fülle und Tiefe der Arrangements. Neben zahlreichen Projekten mit anderen Künstlern arbeitet er auch weiterhin an vielen eigenen Produktionen, wie seiner kürzlich erschienene EP "Concepts" auf Clap Your Hands.
