Sunflower eye
your fiery petals blast
outward

of the life thou give'st?

"Dance of the Faun"

In the deep forest
the wind weaves 
a tune in the boughs

of ancient trees, melodies
that whisper in the leaves
while branches sway

in cool sweet cadence.

The faun plays his pipe
and dances as he taps 
through gorges and glades,

wading through rivers 
that wind to the sea.

Listen! the wind in the reeds
whispers the tales of ancient
earth, of days when we too

danced to the breath
of the faun.
