This idea started as a study to practice sweeping, a couple years back. I wanted to give it more artistic value, other than just being a riff for practice, hence this track!

This track serves also as a proof of concept for attempting to use the stock guitar effects that come built in GarageBand, and actually trying to make them work...

October 4 \\ 2021 - I Take You

This track has been in the drawing board for a while, but I finally got around to doing some needed facelifts. I was aiming for a sound that was quiet and loud, nuanced and crushing, all at the same time.

As the title implies, this track symbolizes the happiness in stumbling upon something that was not being looked for – finding something out of sweet, perfect accident.

January 4 \\ 2022 - The Joy of Serendipity

This track was heavily inspired by the sound of the Devin Townsend Project. After coming up with the main riff, I had a feeling of it giving a sense of patriotism, hence the title.

The artwork is "Burning of the Houses of Lords and Commons", a work by J.M.W. Turner from 1834.

March 11 \\ 2022 - Patriot

Revisiting an old idea I started writing many moons ago.
I often try to let ideas speak for themselves and provide their own names. This one was a little tough, since the middle piano section (my favorite passage here!) expressed many feelings. The one that stuck out to me the most is a thought's permanence when connected to one's heart, and how you promise yourself you will always hold on to it.

This is just a riff where I was trying to work on a bass tone that complimented the high gain. A couple layers after this was the result (for now).

This Dying Soul (Guitar Cover) - Mix Test

This is my cover to the amazing arrangement that CSGuitar89 made with all the Ocarina medleys found in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. I only played along his backing tracks. I do not claim any rights on the creation of this piece, which belongs to CSGuitar89 in its entirety. Again, this is just an interpretation of his piece.

All voices and instruments performed (including guitar and all digital sounds – synthesizer, piano, drums, and bass), arrangements, and production were done by me, in a room at some place in El Salvador.

For anyone curious – the image used as cover art is the Prague Astronomical Clock in Czech Republic.

All guitars were recorded in my bedroom. I remixed the song's backing track and played along it. I also modified the cover art in The Adventures of Jabubu II to resemble the one in the Ameliorate EP. Hope you like it!

This is my first track, titled "Sweet Tooth". It was recorded, produced, and mixed in my bedroom. The artwork is an untitled painting by Emily Carr.

This composition is divided in two sections, and each comprises two scenes of the movie "Calvary" (2014). The first section features the scene where Father Leary leaves Father James after having a violent discussion. I tried to capture the dark and moody feel of this scene.

The second section is the emotional climax of the movie – it is an interchange of feelings between Father James and his daughter. My intent was to breathe intensity into the music as their dialogue escalated in honesty and emotion, and to make this section flow towards his daughter's most poignant phrase: "I lost two parents for the price of one." This somehow turns into a release from Father James' perspective: this is the moment he realizes how much his daughter needed him, to which he seeks to resolve with promising his daughter he will always be with her. He clearly means this spiritually, as he knew he was going to be murdered the next day; but his daughter was not aware of this.

The Fact Remains

I don't think I'm going to use the synth drum track in the final product, but I think it sounds nice :).

I had an idea using Chinese traditional instruments, and decided to mess around with it by adding a nice (sick) beat and bass. Since I think I have strayed too far away from where I'd like to go with this idea,  I'll just put this here to put this direction to rest.

This is a cover to the ending of "A Principle God" by Voices from the Fuselage. This section is really sweet in its melancholy. (I believe this section is a key moment in what I think is the overarching story of the album)
