Easy to Love is an abysmal stepper – with rolling bass that comes up from the depths of the Earth like a volcano. Properly accented with gritty neuro-esque bass, it’s as if C3PO and R2D2 got a hold of this one and went into the lab. Cheeky and driving, you’ll be against the bins of bass or driving the dance straight into the floor. And of course, once you see LOVE in one place, you’ll see it everywhere. It really IS easy to love. That female vocal is out of this world!

Let Me Go rolls deep and hits on the feels right away. Spacey pads lead for articulate drums to drive the vibe in the intro before ethereal male vocals light up the backdrop similar to the previous. Gritty and deep, the opening passage makes its way to anthemic horns reminiscent of Dead Can Dance’s Dawn of the Iconoclast. Pads bring it back down momentarily with effective risers paving the second dance for this deep stepper.

Beautiful changes the scene, becoming more uplifting than the previous two. Beautiful leads open up like gates of Heaven. Pads, angelic voices, and chimes cue the entrance of a deep drop, body-warming sub lines and divine pads. Chorus-laced harmonic vocals sprinkle to connect the soul to the dance – after being apart from each other for so long. Emotionally driven, it’s exactly what we need.

Grooven’ is introduced by hihats that crescendo in this uplifting stepper. Keys and vocal pads make up the structure, while delicious amens make a sudden appearance for a welcome change. Minimal squelches are expected as the previous and appreciated throughout.

Synonymous with a love for the sonics of deep liquid drum and bass, Austrian producer Ferice follows up his 2021 free download on Transparent Audio with a debut EP on the label. Titled ‘Odd Nmbrs’, Ferice teams up with Geostatic, Phoebe Train, and Sydney to display his love for the irregularities and unevenness of life through the beguiling sonics of his signature drum and bass sound.

Having been working together over the past few months to curate Ferice’s debut EP, it's a true honor to announce the next essential artist to the Transparent Audio family.

Kicking off proceedings with the title track, Ferice wastes no time in showing off what his music is all about. Moody, atmospheric, and crisp, 'Odd Nmbrs' is a lesson in how deep drum and bass is done right. Following on, 'My Soul' sees Ferice link up with Slough-based vocalist Phoebe Train. With production and vocal palette living in perfect harmony, the second offering from the EP is defined by its soul, melody, and beauty. Carrying on with the beguiling vocal features, 'Anxious Minds' sees Sydney appear as the next feature on the EP. Tension in the build-up explodes into a frenzy of power, intricate synth work, and vocal precision in the chorus. 'Anxious Minds' is a true encapsulation of how the contrast of dark and light can translate in such a captivating manner at 170 beats per minute. Polishing off the project, fellow Austrian producer Geostatic enters the fold for the sounds of 'Same Way'. Sub-heavy and sampled to perfection, this track promises to hit in the same way, regardless of whether it be boomed in the rave or quietly listened to at home.

"This release definitely differs from what I've done so far, but for me, this is all part of a journey. I always try to keep my sound evolving, finding out that it is really useful to have a concept behind tracks in the process".

The beginning of a new concept series, Diffraction Vol. 001 sees the likes of Koax, Framer, Yannons, Resslek, and five other artists from the TA roster re-work some of our biggest releases across the past two years.

Austrian imprint Deep Within Recordings introduces three new artists to their roster alongside a familiar face in their latest VA EP.

DOt. kicks off the EP with Killing Me. Having already released on Deep Within on the label’s first VA, DOt. continues to develop his characteristic take on the minimal drum and bass sound. Cosmic pads, filtered synth arpeggios, and an airy vocal line create a captivating and soulful-yet-moody atmosphere throughout the duration of the track.

Ferice makes his label debut with Elusive. Crisp drums, a syncopated and chromatic analogue bassline, and gradually evolving pads make for a smooth and rewarding listening experience which demonstrates that the musicality and weight of a tune are never mutually exclusive.

The penultimate track comes courtesy of clÜ, a producer who gravitates towards the realms of liquid drum and bass. In keeping with the general theme of this EP, Primrose features jazz-tinged basslines, reverb-laden vocals, and snappy drums which blur the boundary between organic and mechanical sounds.
