Last Saturday, some time before I played my set at AUM Next Level: The Dome, Dad popped in to my head and we talked a while. Standing alone under the sky, slightly away from everyone, we talked mainly about forgiveness. I knew he was leaving, and let him know that he was clear for take-off. That our work here was done. I felt him leave. A short while later, I stepped on to the stage and did my mahi. Working the energies on the floor, sharing smiles and deep joy with everyone. A special moment.
This is that set.

Played in front of 600 beautiful souls at the last outdoor AUM midwinter gathering, AUM Next Level - The Dome. The event was held at the AUM festival site, under 2 huge geodesic domes with incredible visuals, lights and of course sound.
What a vibe.

MOSS bio

MOSS has been around a whole lot longer than the name. The sound you can expect from MOSS is simply the slower, rolling techno, breaks and glitch music as always mixed progressively and dripping in the psychedelic that Aum Productions resident and owner `Ferksta’ has been doing (aside from his psytrance music) since he began playing a long long time ago. Preferring long engaging sets when everyone is in `that place’, MOSS is his salute to all things progressive and bass heavy. To all things dance music... when it's just the dj and you locked in a timeless grove. His salute to the indefinable... the glorious. The real moments that make the dance floor so special. MOSS sets have been played all over the world and now this sound has a name.

Just a few tunes from a few producers I love. A bit bouncy, a bit psychedelic, a bit squelchy, a bit samply and a lot meaty.

November 2019 saw the 20th anniversary of the infamous Velvet `the Night of Sumptuous Decadence'. Held at Flying Fish Studios in Ponsonby, it was a stunning night to remember. (Check the after video here: https://www.facebook.com/AUMproductionsNZ/videos/541874483029485/)

Philippa, a long standing and massively loved Velvet DJ lives in Berlin and couldn't make it to that show... So as a tribute to Velvet and the times we shared, Philippa very kindly made this exclusive mix, just for us. 
Little did everyone know at that point that we had booked her for AUM Festival later that year, where she wooed a crowd in excess of 1500 people on our White Stag stage... so all was well.

Slow deep dark rolling underground  progressive psychedelic  techno, house and trance.  

Personally speaking unless you have 2 hours to commit and a stereo r headphones up to the job , i wouldn't think this is the mix for you. 
Suffice to say, I thought of ALL of you during this freestyle.

*oh and yeah... it's 2 hours long to represent the quadruple timeline of a 30 in white out. You either know what i mean, or you will...

Beginning on 25 March, the Alert Level was moved to Level 4, putting New Zealand into a nationwide lockdown.
It was a confusing, scary time.

A recognizable figure in our local dance industry as the creator and co-owner of AUM Festival, and the legendary Velvet parties, and playing music for over 300 years. Had to read that bit again didn't you?
