Rap Relay Freestyle

I made this beat on the day that Stardust (feat. Katleho & Luigee) was released. 
I had just come from an exam and wanted to chillout and do something to soothe my spirit and comfort me. 
I opened up FL Studio and something told me to revisit one of the samples that I had used on a previous project (METAMORPHOSIS), on this beat called L&H2_2. I chopped the sample and wanted to add my own drums to it, but that wasn't working out. That was until I found this drum break from an old Young Guru pack of loops and started tweaking it to my liking. It fit so perfectly with the sample that I didn't even want to bother adding anything else.

It's called Stardust, Pt. 2 because it felt at the time, and still does feel like a direct response to that song (thanks mainly to the sample).

When asked what message he hopes to convey with his music, Ferlo Narco replies saying he wants his listeners to feel free to be themselves with no fear of judgement; “to live life on their own terms and follow what is close to their hearts”

Ofentse Mabokela, ‘Ferlo Narco’ is a multi-instrumentalist, rapper, poet, songwriter. His roots in music can be traced back to his days as a church drummer.

His sound is influenced by a variety of genres: Neo-soul, Hip-Hop, and Gospel, and he refuses to be pigeonholed into one genre.

Ferlo Narco does not shy away from any subject; delving deep into the pockets of his consciousness to transmit a nuanced, lyrical delivery of his inner reflections.

Ferlo Narco possesses a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Witwatersrand. His experiences during these years as a student are a significant source of his musical content.

His 2019 single, 'February 9th', and a collaboration project 'Falling' are some of his first projects.

'5 Years; An Epistolary Memoir' is his first full length solo project, released August 2021.
