I balance on some bleachers rusting softly in the sun
then go up near the road where the traffic runs and runs /
For a moment I outpace the cars before they all drive off
I kicked a soggy pretzel sadly smushed into the sidewalk /

My thoughts tumble between what I want and what I need
someone speeds by and leaks the reek of weed /
