Fern Spores is a Alt-Americana band, blending blues ballads with wistful folk songs and gritty pop hooks. Bold yet vulnerable lyricism wrapped up in soaring melodies and moody guitar. 
 Fern Spores is comprised of Alyssa Nunke (lead vocals, guitar, lyrics), Chris Zikeli (percussion, bass, vocals), and Jade Kovats (lead guitar, vocals).  Ripe with chemistry, cohesion, and ambition the trio has set their sights on recording their first album in 2023 and embarking on a US tour. 

Ferns are one of the most ancient forms of flora, dating back over 350 million years ago. Part of their resilience and success is due to them being spread via spores not seeds and being able to sprout even in infertile soil and low-light conditions. Our hope is that our songs, frequently inspired by the beauty of the PNW, will plant themselves and take root within your mind.
