Danza De La Tribu - One Tribe Remix

Issu des grandes traditions africaines et des héritages européens, THE ELEMENTS - deuxième volet de la Collection Papilio - est le nouvel album de TUNDE JEGEDE, compositeur et multi instrumentiste, artiste à la frontière des genres et des musiques.

Né à Londres d’un père nigérian et d’une mère d’origine irlandaise, il tombe amoureux très jeune du son de la kora et de celui du violoncelle. 
Il grandit dans les quartiers métissés londoniens où il côtoie la culture africaine et des artistes comme Bob Marley ou Linton Kwesi Johnson.  C'est en Gambie qu'il s’immerge dans la tradition des griots de l'ouest africain avec Amadu Bansang Jobarteh, maître de la kora. 
Parallèlement, il apprend auprès de son grand-père organiste la musique classique européenne, ce qui le conduit au violoncelle et à la prestigieuse Guildhall School of Music.
Par sa pratique instrumentale puis son travail de compositeur pour des formations majeures comme le Royal Philharmonic, le Philharmonia ou le London Sinfonietta, TUNDE JEGEDE invente des liens entre 
ces deux univers.

Artiste révélé par le Festival de Saint-Denis grâce à sa collaboration avec Talvin Singh, suivie d’une création «Le Fleuve Niger» avec Oumou Sangaré, Kassé Mady Diabaté, Toumani Diabaté, et le Brodsky Quartet, THE ELEMENTS est son premier disque édité en France.

Dans cet album, il propose un voyage à travers la musique méditative des griots et un parcours dans les compositions classiques contemporaines pour violoncelle solo, créant un jeu de miroirs entre nouveau et ancien monde. THE ELEMENTS dévoile une musique intemporelle effleurant l'essence même de l'éternité.

Each musical work by Antonio Testa could be described as a journey that takes us around the world.
The attitude is similar to that of other eminent musicologists like David Parsons and Stephan Micus, but Testa’s approach to music is a very personal one.
"Ecosphere" confirms the eclecticismat the base of his music career
It was created in order “to find a balance between the biosphere and the technosphere' .
Translated into sound, it means a blessed meeting between the new deep rhythmic of the digital age and the old traditional harmonies of the world’s music.
In order to interpret them, Testa has trusted once again the magnetic voice of Susana Beatriz Alvear , author of lyrics and vocals and also responsible for five of the first six tracks, languid trip-hop dances in which the trumpet of Roberto Santoro ("Recuerdos ") shines alongside the acoustic guitars of Francesco Saverio Porciello (" Dance To Bobo ") and the drones played by Alio Die mixed with his bases and his bouzoki strings (played by Tito Rinesi).
In "Maya Prayer" we find fields recordings recorded by Testa in the forests of Mexico. Before the final track there is also space for a long-tropical ambient improvisation recorded in 1995 in Milan with U. de Souza, Raphael Scinia, Susana Beatriz Alvear and Rosana Santos.
