O álbum virtual "Origames" é uma compilação de músicas de Fernando TRZ, que reúne diversas faixas autorais e também alguns remixes produzidos durante o ano de 2013. 

Três delas, "Maculelê", "Spectro" e "Liquid", foram produzidas durante a imersão no MAM (Museu de Arte Moderna SP) dentro do projeto DJ Residente, e que tiveram participação de Loop B, Vivian Caccuri, Jovem Pelarosi e Caleb Mascarenhas (Lavoura).

Também entra no play a faixa "Afrosynthese", que saiu na compilação Brazuca Vol.III, organizada pelo DJ e produtor paulistano Tahira, e "Pantaleon Del Plata", faixa em tributo ao genial compositor argentino Astor Piazzolla.

A faixa "Ori", faz parte de uma trilha sonora composta para abertura do espetáculo "Ori Jam, uma Rapsódia para Antes da Meia Noite", um happening de livres improvisos de dançarinos e músicos, com direção e coordenação de Morena Nascimento e Letieres Leite.

Além dessas faixas autorais, TRZ assina quatro remixes, um da música "Jogos Madrugais" de Lucas Santtana, outro da música "Vapor" do grupo Axial, também da música "Taboão", do maestro baiano Letieres Leite e sua Orquestra Rumpillezz, e ainda um re-edit da música "Graveto no Vento" de Pipo Pegoraro.

Brazilian producer Fernando TRZ fuses Electronica, Afrobeats, Jazz, Soul, Dub and Brazilian rhythms in his new album “Matrizes” - Fourth album by pianist, composer and music producer Fernando TRZ hits all platforms on September 6th, 2024. 

‘Matrizes’ is the name of Fernando TRZ's fourth album, which hits digital platforms on September 6th on Brasil Discos. Acclaimed composer, keyboardist and music producer celebrates the first decade of his solo career very well accompanied by a team of heavy hitters: Thiago Duar, Pipo Pegoraro, Beto Gibbs, Éder Araújo and Renato Cortez.

“They are excellent musicians and music producers who I consider to be brothers, and who work on various fronts in the Brazilian music scene, accompanying great Brazilian artists such as Mental Abstrato, Otto, Liniker, (Grammy Award winner)  Xênia França, Marina Peralta, among others,” says TRZ.

In ‘Matrizes’, TRZ dives even deeper into his research of Afro-Brazilian music, greatly influenced by the thinking and pedagogical method of Bahian maestro and arranger Letieres Leite (In Memoriam), with whom TRZ had a friendship, after remixing the track “Taboão” by the Rumpilezz Orchestra in 2012, and also when he accompanied the artist Lucas Santana, in a show in which Letieres also took part, “O Deus que Devasta mas Também Cura”, in 2013.

“The great power of African music is the ancestrality of its rhythmic organizations. It lives on in all forms, it's in Blues, Rock, Pop and all music that is created in the world.”

The above statement by maestro Letieres Leite, taken from an interview on the El Cabong blog, expresses the concept that inspired TRZ, making him to dive  into the new project. Starting from Afro-Brazilian rhythmic claves, TRZ develops the beats and rhythm patterns and from there creates the harmonic and melodic layers to develop the five compositions (the 5 ‘Matrizes’). For each theme TRZ applies a specific aesthetic line such as Afrobeat, Electronica, Jazz, Soul, Dub, and Rock, giving a unity and conceptual organization to all these sounds and influences from the Black Atlantic.

All music was composed and produced by Fernando TRZ,  with the exception of “Matriz 03 - Eu Vim”, written in partnership with artist Jairo Pereira, who adds vocals in spoken word, bringing a poetic universe to the song that ties the concept of the album together. The project was mixed and mastered by Renato Cortez (Estúdio Mato Records in Minas Gerais).

The album also features three remixes by renowned brazilian DJs, Chico Correa from Paraíba, Telefunksoul from Bahia and OvelhaNegra from São Paulo, who bring their vision to the new work making  the album even more in tune with the powerful Brazilian and Global electronic music scene. These remixes will complete the album and will be released at the end of 2024. TRZ is also a graphic designer, applying his vision to ‘Matrizes’ and developing a visual universe through ancestral icons from cave and tribal paintings of African and indigenous origin proposing a process of recombination and digital patchwork work.
