Radiophonic Lodge Second Visit

The second release from Fern Lodge on Game of life takes a detour into the fragile nature of the mediums we use to communicate electronically. 

With time just like memories it breaks up and distorts into its fundamental electric pulses becoming a pure form of analog electricity with only the hazy remnants of the original messages. 

Long lost melodies drift in and out of this electronic ether bringing back memories of faded times… Old machines that generated ones and zeros cough up their information in faulty sentences breaking apart before the listener can truly hear the full story being told. 

They take you only as far as they can...

The track was done in two takes with no effects or processing of any kind to show the sounds of the Buchla system especially the 212 Dodeca module... The 245 was set to two different lengths to give the track a polyrhythmic feel...

Working with Analog modular and instruments made by Peter B of Ciat-Lonbarde he incorporates found sounds and natural acoustics to create
works based in fragmented memories from fiction and real events…

His lengthy processes and social phobias have unfortunately robbed him of his ability to play in live settings but his early career had him working
with fellow sound sculptors including Edmonton's Nano Uribe, Honer and Gary Joynes (Clinker)…

He graduated from Alberta College of Art and Design in 1998 with a BFA in sculpture…

Now he lives in a forrest with his lovely wife and little cat...
