"Casa" parla di Francesca, una ragazza di Ussita, un piccolo centro tra i Sibillini, che rimane senza casa il 26 ottobre 2016, quando alle 21:18 una scossa di 5.9 gradi Richter, con epicentro proprio a Ussita, provoca moltissimi crolli e danneggia altrettanti edifici nel raggio di decine di km (ma soprattutto a Visso e Castelsantangelo sul Nera). Quattro giorni dopo una scossa violentissima di 6.5 gradi Richter con epicentro pochi chilometri più a nord assestava il colpo di grazia, devastando tra l’altro Castelluccio di Norcia. 
Nei mesi successivi saranno tantissimi gli abitanti della zona che, non avendo più una casa, o non potendoci più rientrare, sono costretti a soggiornare in strutture turistiche della costa, marchigiana e non solo. Mentre la ricostruzione, dai... quella lo sapete anche voi com'è andata e come sta andando.

The four men sat atop the ruined husk of their city, basking in the absurdity of their own survival in the face of such utter destruction. Their laughter echoed sharply off of the barren concrete that fell around them as leaves in autumn, it’s tone reflecting the strength of their shared bond and amplified by the strength of their shared drink. They looked out over the city through the gap where a wall had once stood, before being torn asunder by a hulking reptilian beast that had passed through town some months ago. Their city seemed plagued by such things, with news of mysterious propaganda machines, corrupt criminal cabals, and strange biomechanical overlords coming to light in the months that had followed that initial disaster. As their gazes wandered through the crumbling towers of the city, the sky began to glow with an eerie red light.

Before them, a rain of meteors swept through the sky, streaking towards one of the last untouched monuments of their civilization. Noticing this, the men calmly exchanged glances, calmly regarding each other as they waited for someone to be the first to break. A cacophonous roar interjected shortly thereafter as the first of the stones made impact deep within the city and the resulting tremor shook the men from their contest at once. As each scrambled to remain balanced in his chair and to retain the balance of the wine in his hand, they erupted into laughter once more at the acrobatic antics of their comrades. Returning their attention to the recent impact, they stared calmly at the approaching cloud of debris with detached confidence. With almost choreographed precision each donned a pair of sunglasses before raising their glasses in a cheer. Were there an outside observer, they may have regarded the men as fools. However, there was none, and they were not. For those who had withstood such a litany of destruction, what threat was a meteor shower? RIDO & THE GANG would come out on top. They always did.

RIDO makes his EATBRAIN debut and brings THE GANG with him for a collaborative EP featuring JOE FORD, COUNTERSTRIKE, and EATBRAIN label boss JADE as he displays his wide ranging sonic ability over four tracks on the RIDO & THE GANG EP. RIDO first takes center stage with the mysterious STRANGER which features his unique blend of melodics and fast paced sweeping basslines. JOE FORD then joins forces with RIDO for BLUEPRINT, adding his inimitable & otherworldly sonic textures to the mix for a driving bassline assault. Much time had passed since that first moment of DIVERGENCE, in which one had sacrificed the joys of his existence for the betterment of all. Where once a man had stood, now a great tree remained, presiding over the village with the commanding presence of its incredible size. For years the magic of its boughs had shielded those below from harm, but time had worn upon its trunk and the wards that it projected now threatened to falter at the onslaught of the spirits that had long thrown themselves at the border. A single life, it seemed, could not keep evil at bay for all eternity. This fact was known to the council of the village below, and as the great tree began to slip from the world, they set in motion a further plan.

In the depths of one of the great mountains that surrounded the village, its every inhabitant worked tirelessly, hewing and hauling the stone bones of the earth out from the grand chamber they were constructing. At its center, the village’s most skilled artisans worked diligently, inscribing the face of a great obelisk with runes and symbols in a language known to none of them. Night and day the village toiled, until at the final strike of a pickaxe they heard a most ominous sound. A pained groan uttered its way through the valley, followed by the thunderous impact of what could only be the felling of the great tree. The villagers cowered within the cavern, watching in horror as the spirits of evil began to flit about the ceiling above them. Yet as all seemed lost each spirit that had entered the chamber was wrenched downwards, its essence bound to the great obelisk, which trapped their visages in caricatures of agony upon its surface. Though the flood of spirits seemed unending, each and every one soon found itself within a similar stone prison as the dissonant howls of these creatures of evil faded into nothingness within its earthly being. At this sight, the village rejoiced whilst remembering the one who had sacrificed much for them. Though life could not hold back the flood of DIVERGENCE, stone would bind it to its inescapable form.

EATBRAIN their ninth LP with the second release in their DIVERGENCE series, featuring 16 tracks from the many sonic leaders of the label’s vast horde. Within is presented EATBRAIN’s full sonic scope, which spans the breadth of the neurofunk spectrum with tracks from JOE FORD, AGRESSOR BUNX, MIZO, FOURWARD & more - as well as sonic sequences from a variety of rising artists within the genre. A lone sensor scanned the decimated landscape, surveying it with mechanical efficiency as it sought out signals characteristic of biological life. Heat signatures, rhythmic sonic pulses, puffs of carbon dioxide exhaled into the air, all were small tells that gave away even the most adept sneaks among their kind. For all of its advanced circuitry however, the machine gazed into a world wholly devoid of such things as it pondered its ability to continue its mission. Though it could not truly die, without a power source it would fade slowly to inactivity and languish amongst these smoldering ruins for an unknown eternity with its directive left unfulfilled. Looking with an evermore unchanged expression into the distance, the machine began to accept this fate, powering off its various systems to conserve power for its sensors in the hope that some lifeform might dare tread this blasted land.

Yet, as the charred remains of life that surrounded it began to cool, a single heat signature appeared on the edges of the machine's radar. It was large, of greater mass than the machine's usual targets, but its form exuded a power of which the machine knew not. Silently by nature of its exquisite design, the machine moved like a shadowed serpent through the destruction that surrounded it, tracking this novel life form with its every available optic and scanner. As it drew near, the machine spared a moment to analyze this new creature: a scavenger, come to pick at the destruction left in its wake for scraps that would feed a being of its mass. Though its momentary purpose here was clear, the beast’s form belied its true role as an apex predator, a being of force incarnate that would serve the machine’s intentions well. Striking with preternatural agility, the machine bore its way into the beast’s nervous system with exacting precision, severing its synapses and replacing them with its own synthetic connections as it took control of the beast’s hulking form. This, the machine thought, was a chassis worthy of its incredible power. This was a violent body, born for destruction, and with it the machine would further carry out its malign directive. This, a synthesis of the mechanical and biological, was more than the sum of its parts. This was the CYBEAR.
AKOV returns to EATBRAIN to deliver his bestial neurofunk fury to the ears of the horde with his latest single featuring a pair of tracks entitled WUMPA & LOSING TIME. Built upon his signature basslines, the pair of tracks explore tearout fury and funk fueled grooves in tandem, making for a pairing that brings to bear the full breadth of AKOV’s inimitable sound for EATBRAIN’s latest release.
