Tuning In fuses real neuroscience with poetic lyricism, exploring the idea that consciousness might be less something we create and more something we pick up. 

People with certain types of epilepsy sometimes hear voices or music before seizures  a sign the brain can “tune” into unexpected channels. Add to that the fact our DNA carries the remnants of ancient viruses that helped shape brain development, and the mind starts to look like a receiver, broadcasting an identity written long before we were born.

Through imagery of “ghosts in the bloodline” and “a hum I can’t explain,” the song questions whether “me” is truly ours or, just an ancient signal playing through modern skin.
