As you might have heard or read, the guys behind Trance Classics started an event on Facebook a while ago. Their goal is to get a true trance classic to the #1 spot of the Beatport Trance Chart. I was very proud when I found out that they decided to pick the track “Gouryella” by Gouryella! As you might know, “Gouryella” is a project that Tiësto and myself started in the year 1999.

In just a few days time, “Gouryella” already made it to the #7 position of the Trance Chart!
Tiësto and myself really like this cool initiative and we find it amazing to see a track that we did together back in 1999, seeing climb the charts that fast!

Because we both support this spontaneous initiative, we decided that we will give all royalties of the track to charity.

So, we will donate all royalties of “Gouryella - Gouryella” to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), an independent nonprofit organization, whose mission it is, to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.

Adagio For Strings

In the year 1936 Samuel Barber composed a beautiful classic piece of music, which got the name "Adagio For Strings".  A composition that was used a lot, such as in famous movies like “Platoon”. In 1995 UK based producer William Orbit started to work on an album with synthesizer interpretations of some classical pieces. In 1999 Ferry Corsten was asked to make a remix of William’s version of “Adagio For Strings”. Ferry’s remix got released late 1999 and an edit of Ferry’s version, was even used as the radio / video version.

Ferry’s remix won a "Dancestar Award" in 2000 for best remix of the year of 1999.

William Orbit - Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix)

In 1998 Simon Berry a.k.a. Art Of Trance, released the track  "Madagasga" on the legendary UK based label "Platipus". A year later I was asked to remix the track, so in the Summer of 1999, it got a re-release, but the track was renamed to "Madagascar" then. 

Next month I will let you all pick another production / remix of me and I will upload the most requested one to Soundcloud as well then.

In 1999 Ferry Corsten and Vincent de Moor teamed up for a project called "Veracocha". The result of this collaboration is the amazing trance classic "Carte Blanche", which got released on Dutch label Deal Records.

System F - Cry (Original Extended)

"Starparty" was a project from Ferry Corsten and Robert Smit. In 1997 the original version of their track "I'm In Love" got released on German label "Go For It". In 1999 the track got re-released, with a new remix from Ferry & Robert.
