A Journey Through Sound Synthesis [Fan Mixtape]

In the early '90s, Ático Corp. (@aticocorp) delved into electronic music, transitioning from eurodance to electro, techno, and breakbeat. By 2000, vinyl collecting and music production became his passions, culminating in a debut 12" on Hardware in 2005 and the inception of his netlabel, Shoxcorp. After a brief hiatus, Ático Corp. returned in 2010, co-founding UFC (Un Futuro Creíble) with R.I.P. Bestia in 2020—a vinyl-focused label championing their distinctive blend of breaks, electro, trance, and cyberdelia. A captivating journey through sound, spanning decades of creative evolution, which can be heard in this N2MU Podcast. Enjoy it!

Hailing from the French underground rave techno scenes of the 90s, Umwelt is a truly rare artist and one of the most important and prolific electronic producers.
Author of an important discography including on his own New Flesh Records and Rave Or Die labels, his productions play the card of a specific and dystopian electro-techno sound.
On live sets or on Dj sets, Umwelt is always focused on catching the audience on the dancefloor in a raving atmosphere, through the years, you could catch him playing b2b alongside Helena Hauff, Dax J, Sunil Sharpe, Imogen, Zadig to name a few...

We are thrilled to anounce a typical EKATA mix that goes on a bit of a journey. It has many styles of Electro with abit of 4x4 thrown in for good measure! This is a pretty driving mix from the beginning and will be sure to make people want to dance! It also features one of the tracks from her solo release on Censor Records.

EKATA is a London based DJ/Producer + Natural Selection Resident who's productions are characterised by their dark and atmospheric soundscapes, driven by pulsating rhythms and intricate synth work.
Determined to create music that is unearthly, idiosyncratic and exuding futurism of that of a sci-fi film, she always ensures a story is to be told in each track she produces.
She mainly sticks to the dark and eerie side of Electro/Techno in her productions & gigs, where she will take you on a dark and twisted journey through incredibly dystopian, ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections.

Strange But Dance Music #154: EKATA

Since his first vinyl release in 2015, James Shinra has explored the more melodic side of braindance, electro, breakbeat and rave with a string of EPs on Null + Void, Analogical Force, Craigie Knowes, Feel My Bicep, 20/20 Vision and Anjunadeep. His well-received debut album 'Vital Heat' on Analogical Force saw him move away from the dancefloor and broaden his musical range in several directions, from laid back piano pieces to frenetic breakbeat workouts. 

At L.E.V. Festival 2023, he delighted us with an acid-tinged live set full of electro beats and memorable melodies.

She has played in many clubs and festivals of Hungary (Kontra, wndrlnd, Corvintető, Müszi, Kuplung, R33, Egál, S.U.N festival, Ozora ect...) and other countries, like Germany, Croatia, Slovakia, Austria, Romania, and France and of course the Netherlands (Drift Festival, Het Nest Festival, ADE etc)
She is currently based in Nijmegen (NL).
She is also a resident DJ at Nijmegen’s very own Open Source Radio.
