#onetrack — the best of electronic music

Imagine you are an explorer. And you're examining humankind's existence with your ears. 
Today I'm offering you a quest. A sonic experience that will tell you a story. 
All are gone. Everything is disappeared. You only could find lost records left all over the world. You don't know what you could find and what was on that records. Your work is to find out what was gone, how it happened. What this world was consist of. But there is good news: to get it right — you can always come back and listen again. 
There're some records left like artifacts of the missing culture. You find the first one. You don't know the correct order, but there is one you could listen to. And maybe you will find some answers. 

This is where your journey starts. And reasonably enough, soon you will find out more records which could help you find out what was happened with the world of sound. But right now, there are no other feelings than hearing — it will help you see things you never saw before. I hope it will. 

Your first sonic experience will start with wind. When it's playing with flowers and trees, it moves clouds, and, suddenly, it's disappearing. But it always comes back.

Khruangbin is a three-piece band from Texas, formed of Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Johnson on drums. Taking influence from 1960's Thai funk - their name literally translates to "Engine Fly" in Thai - Khruangbin is steeped in the bass heavy, psychedelic sound of their inspiration, Tarantino soundtracks and surf-rock cool. Khruangbin's exotic, individual sound is captured at their spiritual home, a remote barn deep in the Texas countryside where their first rehearsals took place. Debut album ‘The Universe Smiles Upon You’ is scheduled for release at the end of this year.

Garden City Movement have signed to Night Time Stories - Late Night Tales’ sister label for original artist releases - releasing single ‘Slightly All The Time’ and plan a debut album release in 2018.

The trio of Roy Avital, Yoav Saar and Johnny Sharoni produce a blend of sounds drawn from their diverse cultural worlds; ranging from art-pop to experimental house to horizontally aligned vibes. Since surfacing at the close of 2013 with their breakout track ‘Move On’, Garden City Movement have released ‘Entertainment’ and ‘Bengali Cinema’ EPs, the ‘Modern West’ 12” in collaboration with The Vinyl Factory, climbed the Hype Machine Popular Chart with multiple singles, recorded live sessions for Boiler Room, Majestic Casual and FACT, opened for Bonobo, Caribou, Alt-J and played all over the world. The band's music video for ‘Move On’ received a nomination for Best Music Video at the LA Film Festival, won “Best Video of The Year” at the MTV Israel Music Awards and the video for ‘She’s So Untouchable’ screened at the Raindance Film Festival in London this September.

The signing comes with the release of a new single, ‘Slightly All The Time’, a combination of dream-like vocals, languid beats and deftly deployed guitar hooks. The bittersweet music balances the song’s account of abuse committed during the breakdown of a fading relationship. This melancholic fusion hints at an emotional and confessional album filled with forward facing sounds and beats. 

Launched in 2013, Night Time Stories is Late Night Tales’ sister label for original artist releases. The label hosts a family of artists creating a timeless and diverse array of sounds, connected by a common thread of authenticity. Releases have featured the likes of Khruangbin, Rae & Christian and new Bristol artist Chaouche.

Amsterdam native Patrice Baumel has had a stellar 2017 already. His Afterlife debut 'Glutes' was a favorite played across dark dance floors all year and his follow-up saw him team up with Miami powerhouse Danny Daze. Now, he's back at it with a remix of singer and producer Monolink's single off his upcoming album, 'Sirens'.

Baumel allows Monolink's slinky vocals to shine across a tantalizing, yet dissonant techno soundscape that fits perfectly into his growing, slow-burning repertoire. On the ‘Lotus’ EP, Yør Kultura reveals a more melodic side of their musical realm. Gritty synth lines, strong percussion work and rolling basses invoke the spirits of places not yet discovered. Mysterious vocal samples sing the blues on this journey through various psychedelic worlds. The sultan of hamam swing Mehmet Aslan, crafts a sublime version of 'Willow' on B2, giving a Turkish twist by adding extra guitars and percussions. 33 & 45rpm playback is tested and highly recommended.
