"Soulthorns / The Seeker (…)Each of the bramble entities detached itself from the mass and began to plunge their hands into the murky waters all around. The ground shook with the rhythm of their arm movements, creating halos of white embers. Immense plants sprang up from the depths, forming incomprehensible structures. A sort of translucent flow was running through those plants, similar to human veins, giving those structural architecture something mysthical. As passed through the scene, the central mass of light seemed to recede. Ominous lyrical harmonics resonate more clearly through the huge holes surrounding it. As it touched the light, A deep nothingness appeared all around. A deep growing intensifies under the feets until grumbling while everything were still dark.
Appeared then such as a mirror in front, a stream of water. It slowly intensify drop by drop. Suddenly the face of a woman revealing through the water, as if frozen across the centuries. Only her face stood out, slowly revealing the rest of her body was spread out over several meters of intertwined brambles and fir branches, giving an opressive confusion of her real proportion. After a minute as long as a year, her eyes opened, revealing a striking colour. Her gaze darted forward and a root tore through the water with a tremendous roar. The swarm then devoiced and through the torrent of branches an artefact took shape. A dagger of obsidian, ochre black that only the glowing light of those eyes could reveal. Plunging the blade through the water, the woman disappeared in a thousand seconds and with a blink of an eye, blood poured from the hand handling the knife. It only took a second again to see the knife disappearing like ash, flooding the bloody mud of incandescent embers whispering words. This knowledge revealed to be unseekable for any drowsy mind. This unexplored part of the dream remind tormented, like a continuous pyre of memories consuming the roots."

The 38th release of katharsis and our final release of 2023 is the prodigious compilation "Embracing Darkness, Absorbing Light" featuring a vast array of artist beloved by the label. Throughout the grandiose line-up of the 36 tracks, the listener is absorbed by various differing interpretations of the theme outlined in the title of the album. Some of the invited artist went full into introverted progressions and meditative sounds, while others focused on aggressive rhythms or anthemic melodies. But even though the styles and techniques of the songs differ from each other, the artists seem to have some commonality in their sonic palettes that binds it all together in a mutual love for music as a healing force of nature <3

Following the events of "Annihilation", xato presents the second part of his personal odyssey, "Irrational Fear".

"Irrational Fear" explores the dark self with intense drone recordings being the main sound focus of the project, surrounded by field-recording manipulations and deeply evolving textures.

As the project's tracks aged between 2020 and 2022, it never felt like the right time to release the project. However things changed when the reasons behind the tracks were revamped in the more recent years.

'If quarks & quanta could sing, they would engage in anti-melodic conversations in their layered reality. Paszka streams a party from the other side of the mirror, turned upside down, where a multitude of textures hum in a different galaxy of sound. Through their music composed of cosmic particles, paszka invites us to perceive cyberbiology with our ears, a computerized fauna, a binary plankton bathed in a shower of sparks after an energetic column explosion. This entire impasto painted with electricity defies musical conventions and immerses us in a whirlwind of buzzing, vibrating, pulsating, beeping, hissing, and popping soap bubbles.'

*Throughout their artistic career, paszka has released a total of 7 albums on both Polish & international independent labels such as Gin&Platonic, Noumenal Loom, Pointless Geometry. They have performed (solo and as part of the duo MUKA) at numerous events in Poland and abroad, including prestigious music festivals such as Unsound Festival, Avant Art Festival & Tauron Nowa Muzyka.
