Mehr is Mehr introducing themselves:

We wish we had fewer doubts in our lives, less of what drives us to despair, less peevishness. We long for more moments that let our souls bounce, when our hearts beat that one beat faster. More ease, love and tears of joy - all of this as much as possible: Mehr is Mehr! Rosalie and Vera have walked through the meadow of this crazy life since 2013, not only as part of a musical duo but one in their private lives as well. They clicked from the get go and started off as partners in crime on Berlins notorious dance floors. Always front row and with the beat in their hearts. They soon realized they wanted more! It was clear very early that their place was not destined to be in front of the Dj but behind the decks. Then and there they scraped together their last money and bought their first Dj equipment. Soon after they went on a wild ride through the cities main clubs, touring the country and seizing every festival opportunity. In 2017 Mehr is Mehr joined the Wuza Crew and have since turned a lot of parties into magical places together. Categorizing is usually not their thing but if you had to describe their sound it would go something like this: driving crisp beats paired with melodic elements - techno without monotony and a never ceasing mischievous smile.

Today, we'd like to feature D'Jacque (@djacquemusic), a Berlin-based DJ flowing between Melodic Techno and Downtempo. His style either brings ethnic and tribal influences with tracks that bring passion and euphoric feelings, or hard hitting and sometimes aggressive beats that make your face scrunch up making you uncontrollably move. 

With this new spotlight, he tried to bring an old feeling of being in his favourite club spaces at 3am ending with a reminiscent feeling of what used to be, and what is soon to come back!

Born in Berlin in 1987, Millie Forsberg’s taste in music has been shaped by growing up in the world’s capital of Techno. Blown away by her first club experiences at venues like Bar 25, Maria am Ostbahnhof and TRESOR she started to dig deeper into electronic music and visited gigs of her favourite producers in clubs all over the city. 

However, it wasn’t until she lived in Melbourne for four years that she began to desire to become a DJ herself in 2018. Learning her craft at venues around the famous Chapel Street she soon carved out a name for herself and developed her own sound. 

Now back in Berlin, Millie Forsberg stands for banging Techno sets, where she dives deep into the driving melodic realms and blends dark grooves and full kick drums with euphoric synth melodies.

Today we gladely present to you: KĒV o. Born and raised in Lebanon with Canadian origins, KĒV o has been inspired by music since the age of 13. His love for music got wider,and wider as the vibrations of the bass drove him into the electronic realm. From this point forward, his main focus was to constantly find new tracks and bangers, and know how to connect the right tracks with the right people in the right place. His djing experience started in 2018 and led him to a professional Dj carreer in 2020. Steven Shade, gebürtiger Amerikaner aus Los Angeles mit afroamerikanischen & mexikanischen Wurzeln, lebt den Rave und das Nachtleben schon seit seiner Kindheit. Anstatt zu schlafen, hörte er heimlich die nächtlichen Raveshows auf dem britischen Militärsender BFBS und nahm die Essential Mixe von Pete Tong auf Tape auf. Immer wieder zog es ihn auch als jugendlicher in den Untergrund und er war seitdem teil der illegalen Rave Community. Die gesellschaftliche Mitte sollte dadurch nie seine Heimat werden. Mit 20 veranstaltete Steven seine ersten eigenen Raves und fing vor vielen Jahren selbst mit dem auflegen an. Seine ersten  Durchbrüche als Produzent kamen mit der Collabo Trust Issues, welche unter anderem von Acts wie I Hate Model supportet wurden. Sein eigener Stil zeichnet sich primär durch die unendlich große Liebe zur Musik, weshalb man nie einen einzigen Techno Style in seinen Tracks und Sets hört. So divers sein eigener Sound auch ist, kenner hören nicht nicht nur eine Rote Linie heraus sondern finden immer wieder Elemente aus seinen musikalischen Wurzeln: Drum&Bass, Jungle und Trance - ob von der Track Selection oder die Art des Mixings.

Berliners Clara and Clara went to school together, live in a shared apartment and have been dancing together at raves and festivals for years. A year ago they bought their first equipment in defiance to their neighbors complaints and played their sounds within their own four walls and later b2b as C2C in forests,
meadows and bunkers. They deliver a colorful mix of house and techno with blunt, euphoric, groovy and trashy as well as dark and driving sounds.

Mia Mangata discovered her love for electronic music 17 years ago in Frankfurt am Main. In 2016, she moved to Berlin. 3 years later, after countless forays through Berlin's diverse club scene, Mia started to fill the local dance floors with her sound. Shortly after she had begun DJing, her sets were featured by "Jeden Tag ein Set". Last year, she released her first track "Irregular" together with Floordrobe. Mia Mangata’s style ranges from Progressive House, Melodic Techno, and Indie Dance up to Techno. Her sets, characterized by a continuous increase of intensity, are driving, melodic, and bass-heavy. They give listeners an energy boost in their legs and take them on a musical rollercoaster ride.

The DJ-Duo KLING&KLANG consists of Leo Lingus and TJ who both thrive for the Techno scene since their early youth. As born berliners and as a duo they find their roots in the local underground scene, in which they quickly gained recognition for their crowdinteraction and vocal-heavy Hardtechno, Trance, Hardstyle and Makina. In terms of genres there is no no-go as long as it brings joy to the people, contains heavy bass and makes them sweat. Just like Ying&Yang, KLING&KLANG stands for the balance of two characters and also the fusion of the DJs and the ravers.

@markreeve is a highly respected techno artist who moved from England to Germany 15 years ago in search of an inspirational scene for his tough and uncompromising sound. 

He has gained a reputation through groundbreaking productions on iconic labels such as Afterlife, Drumcode, Soma, Cocoon, Bedrock, and SubVision. Mark has worked with heavyweights like Adam Beyer and Pig&Dan, and his DJ sets have been well-received at venues around the world. 

He founded SubVision, a record label that supports underground talent and breaking new artists alongside established names at the top of their game. In late 2022, Mark created another project called "Able to Resist," which serves as a new platform for his melodic sound design. His music is known for its rawness, emotion, passion, and intentional excitement.

@Sarkhabe is an artist from Valencia (ES), based in Berlin with a soft spot for disturbing sounds, bleak atmospheres and ominous narratives. In the previous years to her step into the electronic music scene, she approached audio creation in the media post production field. A precedent that stains her productions and sets with dramaturgy. 

She emerged in 2019 with one off appearances so far at Berlin clubs like Suicide Club, Mensch Meier, Birgit&Bier, Burg Schnabel and several events organised by the international network female:pressure. As producer, she released on labels such as Blockchain Records, Not Dolls, The Techno’s Children or Pollen. Sounds. Last but not least, she joined Dixrupt agency & collective as resident.

Starting to develop electronic music as a bedroom producer and studying for her BA in Audio Engineering she found her passion in mixing Hardtechno & Hardtrance behind the decks.

Meema (@meema_bln ), geboren und aufgewachsen in Berlin, entdeckte früh ihre Leidenschaft für elektronische Musik. Irgendwann entschied sie sich, diese Liebe mit anderen zu teilen und  hinter dem DJ-Pult zu stehen, um ihren eigenen Sound allen wundervollen Tänzer*Innen zu präsentieren.
Mit ihrem Kollektiv Schwerelos zieht sie durch die Clubs und Parks Berlin und veranstaltet Partys und Open Airs.

fhainest Spotlight #78 - Meema

Mendex (@m-e-n-d-e-x) is a German DJ full of positive energy and member of the collective "Basskontakt" from Potsdam. Since the beginning he got inspired by songs from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Nowadays he focuses more on rhythmic groove techno as well as faster trance music. But he also likes to play other stuff like housy tunes along with tech house, as long as there is a catchy melody.

Isabelle Beaucamp, based in Berlin shows a strikingly rapid and steep DJ career and already played on big stages and festivals on several continents worldwide. Her profile has graced the cover of Faze Mag several times and in November she will be releasing her own music label with loads of unique sounds that she will present at “Bazar Sauvage” Records along with her own fashion line.

Her sound is refreshingly unique as she playfully combines hard and fast techno with magically pushing groovy, (psy)trance and acid elements and makes the crowd going crazy with unexpected ingredients of international Rap, oriental traditional music, brazilian tribal, breakbeats, drum & bass and Detroit old-school techno to just name a few.

About the Artist:
Dennis Rema ist seit 4 Jahren Bestandteil der Berliner Techno-Szene, die ihn damals durch ihre Offenheit und künstlerische Art Musik zu machen anzog.
Er übte tagelang zu Hause, bis er sich entschloss bei einem Contest des ehemaligen Magdalena Clubs mitzumachen. Er und seine Musik setzten sich durch und so ergatterte er den begehrten Closing-Slot auf dem Mainfloor - ein Traum wurde wahr.
Sein Sound entwickelte sich von eher minimalistisch zu hartem Techno mit einer fetten Bassline, was auch sein eigenes Herz höher schlagen lässt wenn er hinter den Decks steht.
Vor zwei Jahren begann er seine eigene Musik zu produzieren und wurde auch prompt von seinem Lieblingslabel SCANDER aufgenommen, desweiteren stößt man auf seine Tracks bei SCANDER, Ausnahmezustand , New Port, Distortis Music, Rubik's Recordings und diesesn Septmeber erscheint seine erste eigene EP auf Gain Records.
Mittlerweile ist er häufig in Clubs wie KitKat Club, Suicide Circus, Ritter Butzke, Kosmonaut(POLYGON), Burg Schnabel, Johnny Knüppel (um hier nur ein paar zu nennen) anzutreffen.
