Over the last two decades, Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats label has launched the careers of some of the most respected names in electronic music: Andrew Bayer, ARTY, Audien, ilan Bluestone, Seven Lions and Mat Zo, to name just a few. In January 2021, the label launched Anjunabeats Rising: a new EP series highlighting the next generation of producers and championing emerging artists from around the world.

Euphoric Nation, Michael Fearon & Lya Adams, Apollo Nash and Chris Schambacher all feature on the latest edition in the series, Anjunabeats Rising Volume 10. 

Originally the solo project of trance DJ Don Ortega, Euphoric Nation became a duo earlier in 2021 with the addition of Justin Zanish. Michael Fearon is an established name in Northern Ireland’s dance music scene, and his productions have heavily featured on Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Radio. They’ve recruited Swedish singer-songwriter Lya Adams for their collaboration ‘Stranger’.

Hailing from New Jersey, Apollo Nash cut his teeth releasing on Elliptical Sun Recordings. Elements of trance, progressive and breakbeat all collide on ‘Need You’. He describes the track “as an embodiment of all the sounds and styles that have inspired me from both within and outside of dance music throughout the years”.

Rounding off the EP is progressive house DJ/producer Chris Schambacher with ‘For Your Love’. Chris has recently supported Tiestö on tour, and has garnered recognition with his remix of Cash Cash’s ‘All My Love’ on Atlantic Records.

Out now on Above & Beyond’s iconic Anjunabeats imprint, ilan Bluestone's new studio album ‘Impulse’ is his most personal outing to date.

At the forefront of progressive and trance for almost a decade, Ilan creates high energy trance with heart and soul. From barnstorming festival favourites ’43’, ‘Spheres’ and ‘Let Me Know’, to modern updates of genre classics like System F’s ‘Out Of The Blue’, Armin van Buuren’s ‘In And Out Of Love’ and OceanLab’s ‘On A Good Day’ and ‘Satellite’, his emotional, song-drive approach to dance music has earned him eleven genre chart No.1’s on Beatport and a legion of fans around the world.

His debut artist album, 2018’s ’Scars’, emphatically showcased the Bluestone sound. Broadening his repertoire with elements of dubstep, chillout and funk, ‘Scars’ cemented Ilan’s place as a headline Anjunabeats artist, with DJ support from Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and Oliver Heldens. The album has hit over 30 million streams. His tireless work ethic has been rewarded with the opportunity to perform at marquee festivals and venues: Electric Daisy Carnival, Creamfields, Tomorrowland, The Hollywood Palladium, Brooklyn Mirage, Madison Square Garden.

Songwriting takes centre stage on ‘Impulse’ - love found and lost, attachment and disengagement. A cast of familiar players has joined ilan for his second artist album.

Giuseppe de Luca returns to the fold with five vocal contributions. The natural peak-time successor to hits like ‘Bigger Than Love’ and ‘Frozen Ground’, ‘Look At Me Now’ is a guitar-driven anthem about loss. ‘Hopeless Dreamer’ provides a dash of 80s synth wave, while album closer ‘Love Is A Drug’ - the album’s buoyant, final crescendo - discusses ideas of rebirth and rejuvenation. “Great track, turn the snare up”, was the feedback provided by founding member of New Order, Joy Division and Monaco, Peter Hook, who Ilan and Giuseppe cover on ‘What Do You Want From Me?’.

EL Waves returned to the studio to follow up the pair’s 2018 hits ‘Will We Remain?’ and ‘Mama Africa’. Their latest, entitled ‘Tonight’, is a trademark, uplifting Bluestone anthem. ‘Stranger To Your Love’ and ‘Love Not Lust’ - both about Ilan’s relationships - feature Ellen Smith of Shadowlarks, who contributed ‘Rival’ to Ilan’s debut LP.

‘Impulse’ welcomes new collaborators into the fold as well. ‘Stay’ introduces Laura Zay. It’s Ilan’s first drum and bass track inspired by the music of his youth. The haunting voice of Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Dangerous Power’ and ‘Underwater’ and Pryda ‘Niton (The Reason)’, Jan Burton provides two cuts: ‘Rule The World’ and ‘Underneath Moonlit Canopy’. Gid Sidgwick, another fellow Brit, sings on ‘Paid For Love’, which explores the emotional costs of falling in love.

Completing the album are two tracks with Ilan’s best friend and long-time production partner Maor Levi. ‘Three Kings’, alongside OTIOT is a vicious club instrumental and featured heavily in Ilan’s club shows before lockdown. Finally, ‘Hold On’ pairs Ilan and Maor with double platinum-selling singer-songwriter Alex Clare, whose 2011 hit ’Too Close’ was a top 40 record in both the U.K. and the US.

Andrew Bayer teams up with Kaleena Zanders on LGBTQ+ anthem 'Break The Rules', lifted from part two of his double album 'Duality'.

A two-part album project, ‘Duality’ began as a homage to Andrew's debut album, 'It's Artificial'. Crafted over three years, ‘Duality pt. 1' explores Bayer’s passion for downtempo and indie-pop, while ‘Duality pt. 2' takes on his forward-thinking trance and progressive sound.

‘Duality pt. 1' was released on August 12 via Anjunabeats. Met with acclaim from fans and supported by Sirius XM's Diplo and Liquid Todd, it featured collaborations with OLAN, Run Rivers, Asbjørn, MOR, Dave Thomas Junior and more. 

On ‘Duality pt. 2’, Andrew takes the energy and BPM up a gear with ten tracks of cutting-edge club sounds - avant-garde sensibilities, aimed straight at the dancefloor.

It's a collaboration with Kaleena Zanders - often compared with iconic 90's vocalists CeCe Peniston and Robin S (and even Whitney Houston), Kaleena has worked with the likes of Finneas, AC Slater, Loud Luxury, Breathe Carolina, Moon Boots and Morgan Page to name a few. Kaleena's songs often incorporate themes of social justice and intersectional activism.
