The piece unfolds like a shadow stretching across time, carried by deep, sustained tones and barely-there harmonics.
There is no climax. Only the gentle unraveling of something once certain.
What remains is a feeling: not absence, but the fading trace of presence. A mournful hush, suspended in sound.

Dying Lumen

At the conclusion of every crisis, I've developed a pattern of intense reflection, occasionally under the [usually] mild influence of psilocybin, depending on how grounded I am. After this most recent crisis, I, finding myself remarkably grounded, recalibrated with a few caps and was utterly inspired. 

For the past few days, I had been experimenting at the intersection of progressive/melodic/and acid house by slowing them down to 90BPM and fusing these samples with IDM percussion and tablas. THEN, I threw in some industrial noise for good measure. 

For the ARRANGING, I decided to let my shroomie friends guide my clip launching. I'm an experimental producer, after all! And I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised by the results! After some minor polishing and mixing to the best of my ability, I think she's ready to be released!!!!!

Let’s not mince words here. Trump is the embodiment of corruption, greed, and incompetence. He’s a man who has spent his entire life looking out for himself, exploiting others, and leaving chaos in his wake. As De Niro so eloquently put it: *“He’s a dog. He’s a pig. He’s a con. He’s a bullsh*t artist. He’s a mutt who doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”* This isn’t just about politics—it’s about morality. It’s about standing up to a man who has no respect for the rule of law, no respect for the truth, and no respect for the American people.  

Trump’s presidency was a disaster. He divided the country, emboldened hate, and failed to deliver on his promises. He’s a man who thrives on chaos, who lies with every breath, and who cares only about his own ego. As De Niro said: *“He’s a punk, he’s a dog, he’s a mutt. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He’s an idiot. He’s a fool.”* And yet, here we are, facing the possibility of him returning to power. We cannot let that happen. We cannot allow this man to continue to poison our democracy.  

This is not just about Trump—it’s about the people who enable him. The sycophants, the cowards, and the opportunists who stand by his side and allow his corruption to flourish. They are just as guilty as he is. As De Niro said: *“They’re all scum. They’re all mutts. They don’t know what they’re talking about.”* We need to hold them accountable. We need to stand up and fight back.  

The stakes are too high to sit on the sidelines. This is about the soul of our nation. It’s about protecting our democracy, our values, and our future. We cannot afford to let Trump and his enablers win. We must vote, we must organize, and we must make our voices heard. As De Niro said: *“We’re gonna fight back. We’re gonna fight back with everything we’ve got.”*  

So let’s do this. Let’s come together and defeat Trump once and for all. Let’s show the world that we are better than this. That we will not tolerate corruption, lies, and hate. That we will stand up for what’s right. As De Niro said: *“We’re gonna win. We’re gonna win because we have to.”*  

This is our moment. This is our fight. Let’s get to work.

Looking backward! I am starting a collection (playlist) of covers of some of my early tracks on Soundcloud, at a time when I was singing and playing a uke/guitar. I often referred to them as "me and my uke"  or "me and my guitar". I did get some very nice comments on many of these but covering the tracks on Suno has smashed the originals in my own view. I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access.  Don't be mad if I have not replied to your message in the past two years, that's because I never got them ; ) ... You can always reach me here though.
