I asked my nine year old grandaughter ( who'd written the first line of a song and got a bitty stuck ) " If I finish it....why don't you sing it ? ". So, after I scribbled and strummed and plonked she did, and in a three minute song has resurrected what pop music has lost - catchy, melodic innocence. Thanks lass, you're a wee star !

The embryo of the song appears to date from as early as 27.4.02, the chord progression maybe being completed in 2005. In true Fidycat efficiency the words arrived in 2010 when it suddenly found itself on tape (yes, tape) end Jan that year. Think it's called working fast under pressure. This re-mix 11.2.14....

The song describes an experience my brother Harry had near the cliffs at Arbroath in 2003. Verses 1 and 2 were written that year but no recording was attempted. In 2010 I found myself writing a 3rd verse and immediately put it to tape. Harry died on the 31st October 2013...
