It continues now with PART 5 in a digital only version, since current conditions for record manufacturing do not contribute to music being released in an appropriate timeframe.

The tracks featured on this E.P. show different sides of techno, though they remain very playful. Hand selected by Fiedel, they are intended for continous dancefloor use.

Amsterdam-based DJ/producer, Format label honcho and resident at Amsterdam’s Shelter club Juan Sanchez has established himself as a techno buff around the globe. His productions appear on labels like Symbolism, New Rhythmic, Super Sound Tool and his own imprint Format Records.

Subitus is a bouncy track that is neither house nor techno, but something in between. Its rolling drums provide the energy to move the audience. The hypnotic stabby sequence and unexpected breaks will turn the dancefloor upside down. A perfect DJ-tool!

Adam Jay is a well known and highly acclaimed techno producer and DJ. His productions are featured on labels such as Monoid, Primate and Theory and his own outlets Azure and Chroma Recordings. His live acts are 100% hardware live performances and are sought after by techno and electro heads alike.

This superb E.P. on Fiedel II contains 4 relentlessly groovy tracks, that draw their mightiness from analog/hardware producing and excellent mixing.

Coming along a little bit more dubby, the title track of the E.P. is not standing back behind the other tracks. Its sharp and playful lead sequence is meandering around a pumping beat and tickles the nerves of your organ of corti. Pure aural pleasure!

Fiedel limitlessly undermines & overrides expectations. He's no average techno or house DJ. His sets build something new, while capturing the moment. Whether straight techno, banging 80's acid or electro funk: he always surprises.
Since 2000 he is resident at OstGut and later on at Berghain. On the compilation Fünf he had his first solo release on the incorporated Ostgut Ton label, followed by contributions to the compilations Various (2013) and Ostgut Ton | Zehn (2015). In 2012 he eventually founded his own label Fiedelone, to give his own productions a more personal base.

This release, an 8-track compilation on 2 x 12", features material gathered over the past 2 years - either particularly exciting tracks from etablished producers like Ron Albrecht or Philippe Petit or outstanding music by fresh faces such as Noncompliant or Espen Lauritzen. Some of these tracks are also featured on the Berghain Mix 08. The DOUBLE MIXPACK E.P is all techno, but it covers a pretty wide range of styles within that genre. The result is a nice mixpack for the dedicated selector: After the testpressings had been sent out, the overall feedback was that one could have a lot of fun experimenting around with these 2 records. The FiedelTwo#3 is basically the kind of releases that would allow a DJ to keep on mixing for half an hour after they've shot all their bullets and have nothing left in the bag:  no fillers, only killers.

This is a fantastic tripped out disco excursion which still carries enough of a punch to shake the room - this is a Fiedel track after all.
