Venice-based DJ and producer Alessandro Baroncini taps into a broad array of influences, spanning from ambient and leftfield electronic music to hypnotic beats and complex textures. 
With contributions to releases by Melifera Records and Materica Records, he has showcased an extensive spectrum of sounds, ranging from lush atmospheres and manipulated field recordings to mind-bending and pulsating rhythms. Other collaborations include participating in podcast series for Caananite Records, Decadance Amsterdam and the home-based platform Opificio.net.

Philip Kylberg is a DJ and producer that explores music through the language of Drone, Techno Hi-Tech.
His music delves introspective soundscapes and cryptic micro textural patterns.
The young artist has come out first on Materica Records and lately dropped a single self release titled Syn, making it a statement of his musical language
He is also been playing alongside djs like Stenny, Salty Dj, Notte Infinita and more with Opificio, a rising collective based in Venice, wich Philip has been part of for the last two years.
Now based in Turin, the dj is curating his own show on Rbl called Neural Hypnosis.

AF Premiere: Ftor - II [Ursula Records][OUT!!14.06.24]

Call and response, ebb and flow. This concept of Chiaroscuro or strong, bold, contrasts between shadow and brightness. The affect can, and does... define so many releases. How common, is a theme that we can all identify but may not name immediately. For what it’s worth, it does make wonderful moments. And so we arrive here, with Minjoon, and in turn what Initiate Records are using as an idea and artistic focus all the better, as they play with the notion of musical freedom and let their friends and artists they trust, define themselves under an idea rather than defined sound.

Minjoon’s contribution to this series will be released on the 14th of June. We’ll be watching, and listening closely, and beyond.

The atmosphere has overheated to more than 1,800° Fahrenheit. The shell is still thinning and the ocean is expanding. From Earth, it looks like a world of dark gas, evidence of the existence of remote and subterranean depths with planetary powers.
Its vertices orbit a yellow dwarf, similar to the Sun. It's seven hundred light-years distant and located in the constellation of the Dragon.
It’s a wandering cosmic predator: Tres now travels at the speed of sound and is faster than light; such a high temperature obeys no rules.
Its particles move wildly, the dark atmosphere becomes blinding.

Yet out of this chaos, a profound transformation emerges: Formant Value, Property, Sun Genam, Bijū, CP1, Øbsidiaan, Aerae, and Aitch calcify the foundations and searing heat, giving birth to new elements and converging with the primordial pulse of dissolved tribal rhythms and the call of surreal psy meltdowns, forging new waves in space.
It’s time for a new genesis, having only just begun but destined to last through time for much longer.

Tres (Previews) [SNVA003]

Deep, rhythmic sounds… rumbling through space and time are the hallmark of Spanish producer Absis, and his productions that range from Ambient, to Techno and beyond. The talents are ever so showcased with every release, and DJ mix that he publishes. Ever so smooth, and refined, a musical journey that is expertly crafted with restraint and gravitas. Unsurprisingly we look to Joachim Spieths’ Affin label as his latest foray would be the second released on the German label.

Silent Voices, the title track starts off with heavy, thudding kicks as dark pads swirl mysteriously around, setting the tone for the duration of the track. Accompanying the percussive elements are disembodied, wispy voices that beg for attention yet give no heed to their inner meanings. Overall there is a feeling of growing anticipation. That change in the night from the blissful beginnings to those of an energetic night ahead, with each kick bringing you closer to the crescendo ahead.

Silent Voices, and in turn the rest of the release will be out on Affin, the 5th of July.
