Effee (Fran Litterski)and Paul Valdiviez wrote this song together in a zoom writing session during the middle of the pandemic. It started with the word plot twist and Paul’s chord progression. The song came into its form in just two hours. Inspired by true love, it’s about love that’s like a curveball you weren’t expecting.

The self produced song  “Alice” has a dream like quality that evokes Alice in Wonderland-like imagery; soaring synth tones and anthemic drums contrast nicely with Fran’s angelic vocal tone. The whimsical lyrics pull you into a chill atmosphere that slowly rises until the bouncy synth lead takes over. Fran sings over the churning chorus about struggling with what she wants out of life and how to get there. At one moment seemingly knowing what do and the next, questioning it all.

A Columbus, Ohio-based indie pop band with a knack for exploring the space between heart ache and happiness, Fields & Planes' lush and melodic music invokes names like, Sylvan Esso, Lana Del Ray, The Bird and the Bee, and Julia Michaels. Fields and Planes is lead by the angelic vocals of Fran Litterski and edgy crooning of Paul Valdiviez. Their first full length album, “A Place inside your mind” was released in 2013,  followed by the dreamy “Deeper than Before” in 2015. Their EP "Press" was released this March to be followed by "Pause" due out this November.
