The first edition of Kindacool ☻ welcomes Swiss producer and vinyl lover, Andaloop. Much like the lusciousness of the Swiss Alps, the Switzerland based DJ and producer selects a collection of luscious, minimal and dub house & tech from some of the world's most forward looking labels; including Aex, Sushitech, Upstairs Asylum and his own imprint Waswotsch, which he runs together with Michal Ho, MRZ and Idealist.

Following many years as an event creator, hardware live act and vinyl DJ in the underground of Switzerland, Andaloop has just sprung onto the scene with two late productions, including a 2021 release with fellow Swiss compatriot, Idealist. Enjoy 1 hour and 37 minutes of ice-blasting magic.

As the head of the visionary Central Processing Unit label, CPSmith has been responsible for breathing an incredible new lease of life into the British electronic landscape over the last five years.  The Sheffield label's identifiable sound, along with its stark and beautiful visual design has ensured that CPU has confirmed its place in the already rich musical history of the Steel City.  

The label forges forward into ever new, futuristic, sonic territories whilst continuing to pay tribute to the influences of the past.  This is most evident in Smith's own meticulous studio rebuilds of Detromental's "Move" and "Rewind" tracks, highly sought after bleep & bass techno classics from the early nineties.  From Neil Landstrum to Annie Hall and DMX Krew to Jensen Interceptor the label's roster of artists demonstrates Smith's incredible A&R abilities and explains just why the label has become so influential.

Here CPSmith drops a mix that is full of those recognisable CPU sounds and is packed full of energy, showing that Smith is as comfortable on the turntables as he is in the studio...

Focusing on intriguing and hypnotic electronic music from all corners of the globe, Field Trips takes the listener on a seamless journey through dreamy ambient, downtempo, balearic, house, disco and experimental sounds, with a touch of the psychedelic. Special guests are invited to provide 1 hour guest mixes periodically.

Also featured are some of Nick's sets from various gigs and festivals around the world during his 15 years of club DJing and promoting. He is currently based in Mexico City.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

Field Trips began its life as a humble one-off radio show on Balamii Radio in Peckham in 2016, with an all Japanese special hosted by Nick Cobby and Liam Jacquin- showcasing vinyl records bought on recent digging there. This was swiftly followed by a string of 'specials' presenting rumba and funk vinyl gathered from Cuba, Italian disco and South African Jazz to name but a few - interspersed with field recordings captured from the trips.

The radio shows evolved into live gigs and hosting parties in London. This was followed by a yearly party at Bar Bonobo in Tokyo, guest DJ sets at City Boy Lounge in Osaka alongside local Japanese talent, as well as guesting on Tokyo based radio station, Hamon Radio.

Over the years, the Field Trips sound developed past the more focussed 'specials' format to a thoughtful selection of ambient, balearic, IDM and downtempo sounds. Rhythmic, hypnotic and intriguing, with no corner of the globe left untouched.

The show is now streamed live on London's Netil Radio via London and Mexico City by Nick Cobby, with regular guest mixes by local and international talent. This archive features all the shows to date and is updated monthly.
