The Fierce Collective Radio Show is a platform for showcasing the talents of womxn and non-binary DJs and producers, and this radio show aired on International Women's Day!

Fierce resident Thought Criminal is on warm-up duties for the first hour, playing tracks by her favourite womxn and NB producers. 
In the second hour we present an exclusive oldskool techno and hardcore vinyl mix from the legendary Tasha Killer Pussies. It is an absolute belter of a mix!

In 1990 Tasha was one of the first few women to break into the UK dance music scene and make a career out of producing records and DJing in clubs. 
Throughout the 90s Tasha played at clubs, festivals and on radio stations worldwide. She released numerous absolutely bangin techno records and an album called Shake ‘N’ Vac, and her 1997 Radio 1 Essential Mix is an absolute masterpiece!

Host and Fierce Resident Thought Criminal is on warm up duties tonight. She has always tried to record a resident mix that truly complements the genre and vibe of our guest DJ's mix, but this month hardcore has defeated her!
Thought Criminal's warm-up mix is very different in style to Sakyra's, but she hopes that pace and energy of bangin squat party acid techno will set the scene nicely for Sakyra- it's a rare treat to play 160bpm techno, and even rarer that it acts as a gentle lead into anything (other than perhaps an illegal rave in 1992).

Fierce have been fans of Glasgow legend Georgina Penstkart for a very long time. In fact, a fantastic live set of her previous chiptune incarnation, Bitface, featured in one of our first ever Fierce radio shows.
Multi-talented Georgina had been concentrating on her amazing VJ projects for several years, but during lockdown she invested in a pioneer and started creating mixes to keep entertained. She recently played for another Fierce favourite ona:v at her all womxn night Circle in Edinburgh’s Mash House, and Georgina is making her debut at Glasgow club La Cheetah for RUSH on 25th November.

Nika only started DJing 2 years ago, which you’d never guess from her mix! In the beginning she played solid techno, but lately she’s added melodic techno and afro house to her repertoire. @mazedk is a Polish DJ who moved to Berlin in the midst of the pandemic after years of living in London. She grew up listening to underground punk, ebm and industrial.
This musical upbringing heavily influenced the type of techno she plays – fast, hard, relentless. Yet her sets centre on emotional messages and in each of them she creates a dark and exciting journey to follow.

This is what she told us about her mix: "I decided to compose a whole set based solely on tracks produced or remixed by FLINTA* artists, either alone or in cooperation. There are a lot of good sounds coming from artists who are under represented in the electronic music scene. I hope to give them the spotlight they deserve."

Our guest Helena Mrazkova, also known as kopi o, is an Indonesian Czech classical concert pianist, music student/instructor, model and DJ based in Aberdeen/Scotland. In this mix she plays speed electro, rap fusion and techno, and showcases some of her favourite artists, including Confidential Recipe, Mango, Club Cab and JB.

She got into DJing last christmas. Before then she was producing tracks for film and some kinetic art installations she had made. She was always into music but more on the 'acoustic' side of things - performing and competing in piano concerts, creating symphonies and orchestral pieces. As well as that, she played a lot of Gamelan on the side as she is half Indonesian and had access to these instruments (percussive, bronze metallic instruments) in South East Asia (Singapore and Indonesia). A lot of techno and electronic music in general is influenced by Gamelan, so that played a huge part in her DJing career.

Discordia (Autumn Bailey) is a non-binary DJ from Cheltenham in England who focuses principally on the music that can be found in the bizarre corners of the internet. From complextro to speedcore, VGM remixes to nerdy eurobeat, Discordia can be found online and in clubs spinning alternative tunes with wild abandon and with a love for anything above 190bpm. Discordia also works with the Siren Project, a femme/NB DJ collective and has been part of numerous club nights such as Redeemer and Judder. They are presently working on a project to create a new VGM (video game music) themed club-night in England, replete with Raspberry Pi based retro-gaming tournaments and costume contests.

In the first hour @thought-criminal-1 warms up with some ambient/ downtempo/ deep tech/ breaks.  All the tracks in her mix are from Ukraine and refugee solidarity releases- Bandcamp links at the bottom of the page.   

Based in Germany, Ostbam is a member of ProZecco feminist* DJ collective, co-founder of Lepzig-based Vir.go collective and half of Monsoon Traxx, a female duo playing trance, techno & acid. Ostbam also runs Unusual Suspects  with fellow Prozecco DJ @crlinecool and the label's next VA is out on 25th March.

Ostbam usually plays dark & fast industrial and ravy techno, but she recorded a truly awesome old skool rave/breaks set for us. This mix is absolute fire!

This month's guest is Dublin-based hard techno @djcinquedea (Deborah Grattan).
Having been a member of the techno community for the guts of 30 years, and a singer, songwriter, and performer for most of her life – most notably with her band Eat Me Drink Me – Cinquedea decided to follow her passion for techno and performance by becoming a DJ and music producer in 2020.
She has a show on Dublin’s long running pirate and internet radio station Power Expect Hard Techno, Acid, jacking beats, and the odd curveball!

Ma Bla is a Polish DJ who has made her home in Scotland.
She is an old skool lover on a mission to put ravers in a trance, which she rarely fails to do. She’s known for being very opinionated about tunes, and for making those who claim not to like whatever she’s about to play dance like maniacs. She’s a compulsive disseminator of the 4/4 mantra: she loves everything rave from early tribe, tech trance, hard trance & house to old school hardcore techno, happy hardcore, jungle, makina & braindance vibez. And breakcore when she feels like breaking things.
Her style is in yer face- no effects, no cutting- just relentless blending of bangin tunes. She’s an utter ACID fanatic, free party enthusiast, a dancing queen and chocolate lunatic. She used to hear “you’re good, for a girl”- but years of blasting consistently, and without a scrap of mercy, have ensured that no longer happens!

@dama-ged is known for her unique sound of solid deep house and techno tunes dished out with a medium-rare hard-rock attitude.
She started out blending disco house tracks in 2002 in Rhine-Main (Germany), discovered Detroit techno then rode the minimal wave, drifting to gigs far beyond her hometown.
In 2009 Dama Ged moved to Berlin, where she became an integral part of the city’s queer club nights.
After leaving Berlin in 2016 and focussing on other projects for a few years, Dama Ged is now back behind the turntables & ready to entertain again with her sophisticated and electrifying deep house and techno sets.

She made her comeback at the iconic queer party Sabotage in Fierce’s home town, Aberdeen last month <3

Sept 20 with T*Scotia & Thought Criminal

Polish-born, Edinburgh-based, ona:v began DJing while still in Poland. After being a bedroom DJ for a very long time, she started playing in Edinburgh clubs in 2019. Since then, she become part of the Sisu roster, secured two radio show residencies (on EH.FM as CiRCLE and Fnoob Techno Radio as ReView) and played in some of Edinburgh's best techno venues. She also founded an all-female electro/techno DJ collective EPIKA - their launch night, scheduled for the beginning of April, was cancelled in the face of the pandemic. 
Her DJ sets are characterised by high-energy electro tracks and nostalgic early 2000s rave anthems mixed with high-bpm techno.

KAVARI (real name: Cam Pickthall) is a Scotland based artist, producer, & DJ that is focused on bending the limits of electronic music and creating an idealistic world within her sonics. She began DJing at age 13, producing at 17, and has played at a vast array of venues, raves, and virtual music events ever since. KAVARI’s music and DJ sets bring high energy syncopated rhythms, brutalist drums, enrapturing interludes, and labyrinthine sound design to the forefront of the dance floor. Her latest mixtape ‘Passive Memory Rejection’ was self released September 25th via Soundcloud & Bandcamp, with more surprises soon to follow.

Savvy user of dark drones, broken beats, industrial perc, heavy kick drums and distorted noises, 3SBAT delivers a transcendent connection and re-connection of the body-mind experience, through Ritual Techno as sound healing practise.
Similarly to shamanic rituals, Ritual Techno generates a subterranean introspection where dark ambient drones, a scandinavian string instrument such as Jouhikko, and raw punchy industrial soundscapes are all meticulously stitched together.

Fierce on FNOOB is a platform for womxn and nb techno DJs and producers. This month our guest is @Frankie Elyse

When Frankie Elyse was just a wee guy, she loved popping her iPod nano into the docking stations at house parties. Frankie was always adamant that everyone listened to her ‘party playlist’ and woe betide you if you ever decided to swap it for your own music.

Deciding that she was too much of a control-freak to continue enduring anyone else’s tunes, Frankie went to Ibiza and learnt to DJ. Since then, Frankie’s been doing well in the Scottish scene – playing gigs at venues around the country - such as Sub Club, Cabaret  Voltaire and La Cheetah Club. Frankie has also played across Europe with her twin sister as part of their DJ/violin duo KINTRA. Determined to give more women in the scene a platform to play out, Frankie and her sister also started Dundee-based collective Polka Dot Disco Club.

When she isn’t DJing, Frankie really likes to listen to ghost podcasts.

Fierce on FNOOB radio show is a platform for showcasing the talents of womxn and non-binary techno DJs and producers.

Montgomery Gurns, originally from Manchester and now residing in London, is a DJ who enjoys playing genres such as hard techno, industrial and acid techno with some rave and trance thrown in for good measure.
Myles (AKA Montgomery Gurns) fell in love with the techno scene in London at their first party back in 2019 and has been listening to and exploring more genres ever since. They decided to take up DJing as a hobby in the summer of 2020, found they greatly enjoyed it and are now looking forward to their future in DJing.
