| Friends and bandmates since they were 15 there’s a bond between T.M.A (AKA Steven Szpielmann and
Patrick Steppons) that means they have an intuitive understanding of one another. In the studio this has led to
the production of spellbinding collection of music, full of emotional depth and dynamic rhythms. The pair play
live organic instruments, guitars and drums, which they merge with an electronic setup to produce a warm,
human sound. This is evident across all three tracks on their latest EP for Hommage, Aitne.

Kicking off with the title track, we’re immediately confronted with the duo’s instinctive use of melody and
rhythm to cultivate the kind of atmosphere that envelops you from the off. A wistful, impish vocal clips drifts in
and out of the background occasionally, coaxing you into a trance-like state, while the beats keep your body
moving. Tension, drama and simmering emotion make this one a fantastic start to the EP.

Next up is ‘Eirene’, a more punchy cut with razor sharp snares and hats, combined with a dense low end
designed to pump the dance floor full of irresistible energy. The track’s blackened sheen is juxtaposed by the
lively breakdown, which lifts the mood and carries us into the vibrant second half.

Lastly, label owners Monkey Safari step up for a remix of ‘Aitne’. They add a dreamlike atmosphere to the cut,
increasing its emotional appeal. This is one for the lovers out there, who’ll be wrapped in each others’ arms on
the dance floor, as the romantic, thought-provoking melody sends them into the throes of ecstasy. |

Premiere: Joris Voorn - Life (Tone Depth Remix) [Spectrum/BMG]

It’s been a real honour to put this mix together, a cathartic and healing process that culminated in me playing music on the property I grew up on and love dearly.

Finding motivation and inspiration for music in 2020 has not been easy, especially being based in Melbourne. When I was asked to put together this mix I found it hard to piece together what I wanted to get out of this it.

Having been in lockdown for months I could not stomach the idea of recording this in my house, I needed something to play for. 

That is when I first pictured recording this set at my parents property, the place I grew up, a place where every tree I helped plant, where every fence post I helped dig in... a place that I love more every time I go back. 

This mix is a love letter to that place, filled with gratitude to the land, my parents, and the man I’ve become from growing up there.

Berlin-based DJ and producer Powel marks his Anjunadeep debut with his three-track EP ‘Hor’s Echo’. Since learning piano from an early age, Powel has developed his niche releasing on labels including All Day I Dream, Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings and Still For Talent.

Opening with title track ‘Hor’s Echo’, Powel pairs bouncing toms with atmospheric piano melodies whilst ‘Golem XIV’ leads with a hollow bass. ‘For Love’ closes the EP with panning synths and a warm vocal sample. Powel's latest reaffirms why he's been supported by the likes of Lee Burridge, Nick Warren and Joris Voorn.

Mart Boshouwers is a 17-year-old producer and DJ from the Netherlands. He loves to make songs with euphoric breaks and uplifting melodies. He tries to make the atmosphere in his songs as unique as possible. Mart started making music at the age of 13 and has learned a lot since then. ilan Bluestone returns with ‘Rule The World’ featuring Jan Burton.

Our story begins in 2012 when Ilan was introduced to Anjunabeats by Maor Levi. We haven’t looked back since. From his early works like ‘Cape Town’ and ‘Big Ben’, to his 2018 album ‘Scars’, to his recent EP with Elysian, Ilan always keeps one foot firmly ahead of the pack. 

From Dreamstate to Tomorrowland, A State Of Trance to Group Therapy at Madison Square Garden and beyond, Ilan is a mainstage star who is committed to the craft of songwriting. Above & Beyond rarely play a show that doesn’t feature one (or more) of Ilan’s songs. 

2020 has been a difficult, yet productive year for Ilan. He released 'Black & Blue' with Andrew Bayer, curated a 20 Years Of Anjunabeats mix, launched new project, Elysian, with fellow globetrotters Maor Levi and Emma Hewitt and debuted his new alias, Stoneblue, on Monstercat with ‘Hypnotized’.

‘Rule The World’ is a fresh ilan Bluestone anthem, roadtested in front of a sellout crowd during his Group Therapy 350 set in Prague last October. Welsh producer and vocalist Jan Burton returns to Anjuna, having recently worked with Gabriel & Dresden on their albums ‘The Only Road’ and ‘Remedy’. Anjuna fans will fondly remember Jan’s contributions to Super8 & Tab’s 2010 debut album, ‘Empire’, in addition to being the voice behind Eric Prydz ’Niton (The Reason)’.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Jan’s vocals, his lyrics are just pure poetry, and I had that in mind while composing the song. I had to perfectly complement the power of his words while writing the music, and the end result personally is one of my biggest and best productions. I think this song will resonate with people as a reminder that no fool should rule your world,” Bluestone says.

GRAMMY-nominated electronic trio Above & Beyond release a long-awaited remix of ‘Sun In Your Eyes’, from California’s Spencer Brown.

Spencer first appeared on Anjunabeats with ‘Wannamaker’ in 2016. His productions blur the lines between deep house, progressive and trance, earning a place in the record bags of top flight artists Above & Beyond, deadmau5, Calvin Harris and Sasha.

‘Sun In Your Eyes’ was originally released on Above & Beyond’s 2011 album ‘Group Therapy’, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. One of Above & Beyond’s most popular instrumental pieces, ‘Sun In Your Eyes’ has had a new lease on life, with Jamie XX and Grimes recently supporting the track. It was remastered for Above & Beyond’s 2019 ambient album ‘Flow State’, which has generated over 135 million streams to date. Spencer’s remix has been a secret weapon in his live shows for years, and is the first remix of the track to be officially released as a single.

Spencer’s second mix album, ‘Stream of Consciousness’, was released on Anjunabeats in January 2020. Last year also saw Spencer team up with ALPHA 9 on ‘Ariel / Afterlife’ and with Anjunadeep’s Ben Böhmer on the ‘Phases EP’.
