Driving up to Volcano Village where the lava is oozing
Heading down to Black Sand Beach where the turtles are cruising

Try feel Pele’s power as her lava hardens
Smell the fragrant island flowers at Botanical Garden
Cross the clouds to Mauna Kea and do some real stargazing
Make our way to Waipi’o where the cliffs are amazing

Try see the perfect sunset in Kailua-Kona
Hit the beach with an island mindset, enjoy a cold Corona
People here are da kine ‘ohana no matter what your race is
Celebrate like kama’aina with all the happy faces

Try walk the lush rainforest down in Hamakua
See where Captain Cook did rest at Kealakekua
Wake up to the peaceful dawn at Pololu Valley Lookout
End the day with a local luau, a true Big Island cookout

Try swim at Waikoloa, hear the whales sing solo
Take a trip into Pahoa and smell the pakalolo…

Each night they find a band, rock the house down and then move on

Each night they’ll stay out late, but they rarely show up tardy

Everyone I know is into pleasure
In the moment lose their minds, in the morning find a treasure

There’s a time in space where hopeful lovers dwell  
Hovering between sunset and darkness of the night
Where evening’s wanton passions cast their spell
A place where romance often blooms – in the Twilight

There’s just enough light to expose the heart’s yearning
True intentions can’t hide when desperation is in sight
Where restraints are cast off and prevented from returning
A place where temptation meets fruition – in the Twilight

Twilight – where all your needs are met
Twilight – a chance you won’t regret
Twilight – a trip you can’t forget
More than a place, it’s a mindset

There’s a shift from casual glances to longing stares
No distinction between what’s wrong or what is right
Where desires aren’t judged cause no one really cares

I watched my little boy just the other day
He got down on his knees and began to pray
He said, “O God, why don’t You help us out?”
But there was no reply, so he began to doubt

“Don’t you know there’s bad men lying?”
“Can’t you tell that I’m still trying?”

Your Kind Of Love

This creative team met back in high school in Houston, Texas in 1969. They became friends quickly and discovered a unique synergy early on – songwriting. Keith manifested his expressions mostly in the area of lyrics, while Raji fashioned his creativity through melodies and arrangements.

The number of songs that they generated as young teens in a short period of time was incredible. What was even more astonishing was that neither of them could read a musical note, and yet they were able to compose lyrics, tunes, chords, beats, and develop sophisticated arrangements.

School, work, marriage, children, and associations with other bands threw them onto separate life paths. Raji continued composing with other bands and on his own, while Keith officially took a long hiatus.

The team temporarily regrouped in the early 1980’s for a few profound Christian musical offerings. Eventually, Raji found the time and energy to record many of their earlier songs and publish them – both in several of his novels and on soundcloud.com. Then in late 2021 they regrouped once more to continue their creative journey together.
