Spartaque reappears in the Tulipa gardens with Vortex, a dark flowerbomb that rumbles like a wedge tornado ripping through the Great Plains. Each individual beat is powered by Mother Nature and she showcases her overpowering strength through Spartaque. Misstress Barbara and Aquarell both redirect the Vortex winds into separate columns of spinning air. The Original Mix, when presented alongside the two twirling remixes, create a trio of twisters worthy of future research from atmospheric/techno scientists. After a rousing reminder of why he is still on top form, with Figure 45’s - ‘Lifesigns’, Johannes Heil now teams up with Figure label creator Len Faki in two exciting new tracks. ‘Volume 1’ readies the two Techno mainstays’ skills at creating tense, dramatic and highly effective moments for the club.

This is the first of 2 volumes to be released from the pair’s studio sessions exploring the whole spectrum of their influences. In the first installment they present 2 distinctly modern distillations of Techno today!


The stomping, tripping ‘Octopuss’ represents the modern shared-vision of two of Techno’s most accomplished producers. From a bouncing start, razor sharp hats and carefully tuned ambience surrounds the cheeky, party-time vibe. As the circling synth theme emerges the track builds towards its haunting, unstoppable breakdown.

Taking things into a more introspective zone, the freaking, sound-design depths of ‘Karter Bachnabel’ jack into play. Skipping across the stereo field, filtering and gyratng, the tactile killer also focuses its energies towards a riotous break in trademark Faki/Heil style! Get Karter!
