@SQUNTO is a bass musician hailing from a small town outside of Boston, Massachusetts. With a diverse and potent arsenal of tunes, his DJ sets have been known to make one "turn up" and have even been reported to spontaneously combust more sensitive members of the audience - though the latter is unconfirmed. His passion does not end in the studio, or even on the stage. SQUNTO is a firm believer in the positive transformation of Earth and practices a wide variety of metaphysical and spiritual modalities for personal and global empowerment with the end game goal of conquering the evil secret government and freeing humanity from its period of prolonged darkness. We're excited to finally announce the first release (in a long line) of several artists in the SubCarbon Records family.
Subcarbon has selected the tastiest and the crunchiest artists in order to serve you the perfect dish! All kinds of styles are mixed in it. We’ve tried deciding on a selection that will make you travel the world of bass music.
 
Let's talk a little bit about the main artists of this release!

First of all, the master of originality beats, Stenchman. He has been a major name of the Dubstep scene from the very beginning... What could we add to that? We're honoured to have him for the first release of Subcarbon Records, and you'll understand why when listening to his remix.

And now, the guy who is going to make you wait for the drop like a little girl would be waiting for her prom night : Dubloadz! The energy this guy puts into every drop is simply insane. He’s a rising star of the Dubstep scene.

We'll finish the introductions with Lifecycle. His productions are of great value! Never disappointing, he's got the support of many greats producers. Go check his whole work and have a sneak preview of how music will sound in the future.

The rest of the release highlights emergent artists with a big backpack of talent. We're really happy to add Kong Speaks, 4bstr4ck3er, Klaxn and Moukratis to the Subcarbon Familly!

After watching season 1 of Stranger Things this summer I was inspired to create this musical interpretation in an attempt to invoke the immense emotional suspense the show so seamlessly achieves. Also given the name of the show I just couldn't resist!

This year has been such a progressive year for me… all thanks to the support of you guys. I wanted to make something special to wrap up 2011 as a way of saying thanks for the tremendous support.

This is a drumstep treatment of Auld Land Syne, an old classic normally sang to bring in the next year. The basslines and synths all follow the same chord structure with some drops to bring the classic up to speed with 2012.

Whether you’re a DJ looking for the perfect track to cue up after the countdown or a drumstep junkie celebrating at the home front, hope this helps bring in your 2012 as big as you’ve made 2011 for me.
