And gradually, I slip right out of my skin. With quiet intention and a firm determination to go unnoticed. I slide out from underneath this blanket of misconceptions and expectations that have been projected on to what some might think is my identity. Alone and raw as the shadows grow long.  Stripped clean and purified by the ritual… a shedding of words. So many words. The day withers away as I look to the west, four fingers extended. A calculation. 15-minute increments.  Measuring the time until the sun disappears. My very own event horizon. My threshold. My freedom. Intimate and aware.  Patiently waiting to live.  And for a moment, I let my mind drift across the memory of you before kneeling down… bowing westward… and summoning the darkness.

Fuck it. Might as well put this out there again...

Made this in High School back when I went there in sophomore (?) year. I basically used the entire class of Video Production 1 to bang out a set of music (some of which was truly not good) on Garageband with an M-Audio keyboard the teacher had on hand, and virtually none of it learning to produce video. Dude gave me a C so I wouldn't retake the class and take up a seat again. I published it on the internet under the name AS(d) (I should really take those pages down) and got -- almost -- no views. Found it on an old hard drive of mine, and listened to it. Thought it'd be worth sharing. A combination of driving distorted guitars, mangled synths, processors and other various electronic gadgetry helps project an overall foreboding sound that effectively paints a picture of isolation and introspection.
