Need More Love

This is about a sacred sexual initiation that's buried deep in the weave of the heroic epic, Beowulf. The monk scribes of the 9th century Nowell Codex transcription do touch on it, but portray it as a fight leading to a curse. However, we have reimagined that story from the shamanic point of view, which would have prevailed in the pre-Christian times when the story was originally composed. This initiation then would have been regarded as a great blessing on that king because it granted him the sovereignty of the land and the wisdom to rule it.
