Filip Blast are Funk, taking the groove that never fails to move a dancefloor they incorporate rock, pop, hip-hop and jazz into their funk. Being a 7-piece, their shows are a spectacle with a solar sized sound. Comparisons have been made to acts of different styles, Jamiroquai, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arctic Monkeys and Incubus.
 
Formed in the heat of the summer of 2013, guitarist, Fraser Christie found frontman, Michael Sebastian who then worked together to create a voice for Fraser's jams. The energy of this collaboration exploded to 7 members adding Ally McLachlan on Bass, Ben Collard on Drums, Dale Birrell on Keys, Dave Donnelly on Sax and Matt Liebeck on Trumpet.
 
Not only have the boys been gigging, but they have an EP self-recorded and mastered, for which they are planning a large release. Filip Blast is taking off, and the energy is palpable. They are serious, young, excited and ready to join the industry and share their music on a large scale.
